  1. This particular symbol really should not be used. You will run into way too many problems trying to conform it. Also, this question should be in General Q&A. This forum is for sharing symbols really. FYI we can build a shower like this in under a minute with the right know-how and have it be dynamic, schedule reporting, parametric and more when you learn the tools that we have. For other symbols that need modification, chopsaw gave a great solution.
  2. You could instead simply copy an ASCII bullet and place it in a Custom Field that reports to the schedule. You could drive it from any symbol such as a 1"x1"x1" cabinet on a hidden layer that uses style pallets and reports to the schedule and again just point and click. Further that by making the custom field input a macro so you can dynamically change the symbol as needed and also link the style pallet tool to a library object on your toolbars so that you have an icon.
  3. Simply import the symbol, designate its Class, then modify options in the Options Panel of the Symbol Contextual Menu

  5. Meant to be a helpful response. The door schedule you could setup quite easily by creating style pallets that carry Macros in OIP/Custom Fields with them, then it would just be point and click on your doors. The room schedule could be automated but would be limited in terms of graphics. as they pertain to column/row padding, but the time saving would make that pretty desirable to me. How are you producing that schedule?
  6. Any time a CAD block is created for a symbol.
  7. Question from me is, what’s difficult about making a schedule? Usually a few minutes time. Any reason not to redo it?
  8. is your documents folder synced to onedrive?

  10. Hmm, now I have to watch my own video, I didnt see any difference for the tab input. Scratching head.
  11. Might be doing it wrong? 220221-Compressed.mp4
  12. BTW this has never worked on my machine for any versions, and I have always been aware of the method from the documentation. I've never taken the time to call in about this. Right clicking does exactly the same thing as left clicking for me, no matter the preferences.
  13. Fantastic advice that I almost never use. I’ve been meaning to ask for 5 years now, I swear I used to know a way to jump to an x input after making a y input on say a CAD box. Am I dreaming that up? Did that question make sense? As in, select a side of a closer poly line, click on a temp dimension and input, and automatically go to the adjacent dimension input
  14. They came from interpolation of the data provided as well as the lack of data.
  15. Chief interpolates from the data that you have provided. So Chief, with a lack of info, can only presume that your contour lines continue in the path that you have designated. It has no way of knowing what is flat or peaked without you providing such data. A simple set of extra terrain contours would solve any issues you have.
  16. Use RIchards suggestion, alt+ctrl+c, drags the edit handle, and while dragging, hit tab, then I put your offset
  17. FYI to all, An elevation is just a special classification of a 3d ortho view with a generated cad overlayed at the fixed location of your elevation camera. So most a snappable elements are only as a snappable as they would be in a 3d Ortho. Section Lines are produced at section cuts, maybe unlock the Section Lines layer.

  19. I wrote a macro for spanning SPV's and I have a working set-roofs off plan view. Maybe that helps
  20. Might want to QC these posts, the images are coming up very very blurred, unrecognizable
  21. As for Chief, there may be another way but the only way I know of is installing, without migration, then making a copy of the templates folder, and attempt a migration. After migration, overwrite the template folder with the one that you saved. Then all you need to do is import defaults, spv's and copy over CAD details and save as template to create your user-modified template.
  22. Might be helpful to list which software versions you train in and also what levels of experience. I offer a ton of different training services but will only occasionally train a beginner level user, and often refer them to other known trainers that handle beginners. If you are someone that will train a beginner then I would like to schedule a call at some point. Nice to know if you will train offices. Also helpful to know if you train in previous versions or in the HD suite.
