Lisa,

You would be better of just defining "frameless" cabinets within Chief's cabinete dbx and saving them in your user library.  That's the only way you will get all the editing capabilities that Chief's Cabinet dbx provides.  IOW, you will be able to specify doors, drawers, openings, finishes, shelves, etc.

Any IKEA cabinet symbols imported into Chief would not be parametrically editable and you wouldn't be able to change door styles, etc.

OTOH, if there was a Library of IKEA cabinet doors and drawer fronts - you could simply use Chief's Cabinets (frameless) and apply those door and drawer symbols.  Setting that up in a Plan Template would be quite usefull.

Hello! I am sorry for stupid question - I am using thi program only second day  Is this library could be imported into "Home Designer Interiors 2014" ?

I see this mistake: non of the items from the imported libraries could be read by the version.

I am looking forward to your advice

probably not,

HD Interiors has very limited capability in all aspects

in relation to Chief Premier

also this library is probably in X6 format which is newer than Interiors 2014

while HD users can benefit from this forum, especially HD PRO users

you will find that the better forum for most HD products is the Hometalk forum

Actually, it may be time for me to revisit this. Clean it up a bit, maybe add new pieces. I've learned a lot since this was originally posted!

Thanks for the suggestion, and keep an eye out for an update in the coming weeks/month.

In the meantime, maybe try the link on a different computer or browser. MediaFire has never locked up for me. Hope that helps!

Can the cabinet have holes for the shelves, without having to adding polyline solids?
Can we add stretchers for the front/back of the top of the cabinet without having to adding polyline solids?
      Something like this:

I have written a request to Ikea to make their products available to designers to draw into the designs. I regularly get requests from clients.
Ikea's response was an apology that their own planner apparently didn't seem to be sufficient a tool.
If anyone else using CA sees the usefulness of Ikea models and would take the time to write them then possibly in the future we might have access to the Ikea 3d furniture.

I do a bunch of restaurants and I am doing my first in Chief.  The setup is killing me but the drawings are surely starting to look good and no more 7 page changes to move a few things.

Most items including menu boards and desks, computer, etc are furniture, but I need them to be fixtures so they will show in the fixture schedule.  Before I recreate all these symbols and make them a fixture, is there a setting I am missing that will just change a symbol to a different category?

I have Chief Premier X9 and would like to know if there is a way to create floating shelves in my drawings. Such as wood shelves with metal or wood brackets. Or are there pre-set ones already that I don't know about?

      Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, this is the first time I have posted one of these. So I am using Home designer Pro 2018. I have been having issues getting furniture to sit on top of rugs. I tried to do the whole send to front and send to back but that does absolutely nothing. Basically, when I try to put anything on top of a rug, it just pushes the rug out without putting my selected object on top of it. It does it with toilets and toilet rugs, bedroom furniture, dining room furniture, essentially things that would generally go on top of the rugs.
