DeLayDesign
Did we change how Dishwashers work? Chief is no longer allowing me to place it 'in a cabinet'. However I did notice that placing the dishwasher next to a cabinet extends the countertop across it without issue. I'm OK with this change if this is normal. Is this a feature we can duplicate if we import objects as well?

The rationale being it better reflects how dishwashers are actually installed in the field -- between base cabinets in an empty space with countertop spanning across rather than the dishwasher as part of a base cabinet. I saw in there presentation video from last week, that the DW is now a standalone, does not need a cabinet (which is how its supposed to be). I believe she also said the countertop auto fills in. Archnot-Boltz
So far, I'm more than a bit underwhelmed. Excuse me for not controlling my excitement.-bB Was expecting and hoping for more items like the new ability to display stairs on the floor above. The dishwasher thing is good but not life altering, The angle snaps 90d & 45d are (I guess) the Ortho Lock many of us have been asking for, for many years (thanks). 3d editing of molding polylines is cool (especially if it works in conjunction with 3d dimensioning) but I'd still like to see auto/user definable downspouts. Text annotation on 3d views eliminates having to notate on the layout sheets. I guess we are a rendering program for kitchen designers? Still waiting for deck stair framing but do like that we finally got the sill plate out of the foundation wall height specification. Still don't have the ability to put lites in a standard parametric garage door............ -bB

Chief_QA
We had an installer issue on some systems which we fixed with the 27.0.3.82 build.
SergeyP
I downloaded the beta on my mac. It wants me to make my x16 key available. I would wait for full release, but I really want to use the new wrapping schedules. I was hoping to still use x16 as a backup if there are too many bugs. Gawdzira
I am not sure how it works on the MAC but you should be able to use x17 and then close it out and jump back on to x16.

No problem switching back & forth from X16 to x17Beta for me. I just made sure to turn off the new Project Management mode/feature and don't save while looking at any ongoing x16 projects.-bb
