BillsburgChief
I'm not sure why my windows won't show up plan view. I can click on the openings and they show up in the dialogue box and also in camera views, so I know they are in there, just can't see them. 1502294526_21-012CrownResidence.plan

BillsburgChief
Yeah Robert, I'm not sure what is going on. If I open my plan or the one I attached they don't show up.
robdyck
Can't help you with the window display, but did you know you can use a truss for ... the truss? It looks a lot better in 3d!
BillsburgChief
I can see them in the referenced floors and they will print, just won't show up in the plan

BillsburgChief
Ryan - The foundation walls layer is turned on (my CMU fill was not), but it is happening on all the floors, 1st floor and attic level
Solution Dermot Posted October 8, 2021 Solution Share Posted October 8, 2021 Is the color of your windows the same as your background color? Try changing one of them to see if they are more visible.
BillsburgChief
I just noticed the same thing is happening w/ my door casing trim, door shows fine, but no casing in plan view only, shows up in all other views and prints fine same as the windows

robdyck
I see that background colors don't stick with an attached file as they are controlled by the program preferences. I noticed right away that the windows were grey and was wondering if you're background color was too dark.

Yeah, I've been playing around w/ the background w/ the new version, so I actually had quite a few layers I had to change. Now I know!

Chelanman
I had this issue too, sort of. I had a door and a window in the same wall. The door was visible in the plan view but the window was not. I managed to fix it by deleting the foundation wall underneath it and then putting it back in. The weird thing is there were no breaks in the wall itself the foundation wall underneath it. I love Chief but it can drive you nuts sometimes.
