joeyaccount
When I click on a file in a folder (Created w/ X12) Chief attempts to open. A dropdown box appears and ask for Serial #. I put in my serial number and a message appears not valid. How to make X12 the default program such that when I click on a file created in X12, X12 will open displaying the file and ready to work? I would recommend calling chief on monday with your key number handy so they can help you resolve your issue. @Dermot
lbuttery
since I have always had multiple versions of Chief installed I select the plan to be opened via Windows explorer via right click and then select "open with" and choose which version of Chief to use for that plan in that dialog there is a setting to "always use..." for the .plan extension use this if you only want X12 to open .plan files Lew
Chopsaw
There is a new setting that was introduced in X11. Preferences>General>File Management>File Association> "Associate Files With This Program..." If that does not do it call tech support with your serial number.
