RobUSMC
I wanted to know if anyone else is having the same issue. While working in both plans (plan view and elevations) and layouts I just started having an issue with copy paste. Its the same issue whether its a text box, pic or symbol. I get a dialog box starting "Paste failed: No recognizable data on clipboard" see the attached screen print. I have used CA since 8.0 and this is the first time I have seen this issue. DavidJPotter
When I do (infrequently) I just copy it again and it works. I just consider it a some-time quirk relative to Windows. It happens so seldom I have never felt the need to persue an "answer" other than do it again until I get a "done". DJP
KilgoreTrout
I think that Chief uses the same windows clipboard that all other windows program use. This means that if you switch to some other program and copy something, Chief might not be able to paste it. It is also possible that the clipboard is in a messed up state in which case a reboot should fix it.

RobUSMC
I have restarted, cleared the clipboard and still have the same issue, However, when I get that error box, I can go outside of CA such as Word or Excel and use copy and paste without an issue. Maybe I can figure it out. Thanks again.
ebdesign
I get it when I have a 3D object on the clipboard & try to paste it into a CAD detail. I also get a similar dbx in other programs when I have something other than text on the clipboard.
Gawdzira
What command are you using when copying and pasting? Hot key? If hot key, try directly from the pull down menu.

BenPalmer
I also get this more then I should...I use the copy icon, the sticky icon, and a mouse shortcut for copy/paste, and it happens on all 3 instances with no pattern to pickup.
