brianhf
Hello everyone. I am having a problem creating a store front type window/door installation. Chief will not allow me to arrange a door with a window directly above it where they are touching, as would be normal in a store front installation. I have tried changing the spacing between windows to "0" and removed all headers, cripples, etc. There is still brick displayed where it doesn't belong. DG1949
Hi, You might have a default door header that's getting in the way. Going to "Framing" in the Door DBX, uncheck default header and un-click "include header".

Chrisb222
Like this? All I did was pull the bottom of the window down.
brianhf
Yes, window and door like that, but no brick between. thanks, Brian.
MarkMc
set window default minimum mull distance to 0", check hgt off floor of door (92" here), open window dbx- adjust height of window and height off floor. I did not mull them. You could but that brings in other issues. Ainsworth plan N.plan
MarkMc
It also works just moving the window with the DBX and not changing the mulling distance.

ACADuser
This is what I get by changing all the frame to 2.5" and sash to 0.1" Use Ctrl Drag to move the window frames over the door frames
brianhf
That looks exactly right!! Thanks for your input. Appreciate. Brian.
ACADuser
The only drawback is that you can not Mull overlapping windows & doors. I've tried side frames at 1.25" but you can not control one side separately.
