  1. Hey Glenn, I think you called out, my garage definition at level 1 was incorrect. Thanks! It was also fixed by giving that particular fence segment as having a room def also helped. Occasionally I have seen this in the past and I think it might also have something to do with if the project has a mixture of mono slab and raised foundation. I do not think I have ever seen this issue if I was only dealing with a mono slab. Many variables, not sure what necessarily causes what. BTW, I do not think the stem wall height at garage has a bearing on the issues. The stem wall could be zero.... I am not sure why I did not have it as zero...... I just might do a video on this to satisfy my own curiosity on the variables.
  2. a few reasons: no room above no roof above easy fix I think would be to select the room and check NO ROOF...... The walls are as tall as the roof or floor above.... no roof or floor the foundation walls go as high as the Milky Way.
  3. I tried it and it did not help. Did you try it. As I said in previous post, giving the fence a ROOM DEFINITION, cleared up the issue.... very strange
  4. This is not the first time I have issues with the fence I am using. Sometimes it frames at the bottom.
  5. I do not think that is the issue, that is a hole in ceiling at the second floor that I am not using..... I was too lazy to delete it.
  6. Thanks for looking at this Robert..... I gave the fence a room definition and now it is fix..... weird...
  7. Hi Chop, sorry about wasting your time, it is in there now and I was able to extract it so all is well,' sorry again for wasting your time,
  8. Sorry Guys, try this, https://www.dropbox.com/sh/luxmedi6xxwmxjr/AACjLK7eNOP3yLY3kcowScYBa?dl=0 maybe it was too big to post directly
  9. Can you figure out what this is? LEO PLAN 1C BBB FENCE ISSUE.plan
  10. I see it now..... I am sure it was always there, but I did not see it.
  11. Here is a link to a CA video on how to build a stepped retaining wall. https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00697/creating-a-stepped-retaining-wall.html?utm_content=&utm_source=VerticalResponse&utm_medium=Email&utm_term=Learn how&utm_campaign=Chief Architect Software News It would be neat if we had the option for the retaining wall to auto step with the terrain as guidance.
  12. This was submitted during BETA testing. I assume you guys have a paper trail of submittals for BETA.
  13. Ditto........ and if you want to read threads and watch videos that will explain what you want ..........do a search of the MRLS
  14. Yes, but if I am not mistaken, the fact that the bottom of the wall is sloped, it auto puts in a sheet of drywall. Try is, delete ceiling plane and it still looks good.
  15. ditto, I threaten to retire a least once a week but I don't think Lynn would want me around that much.
  16. Thanks Eric. I did not fully explore this... you can remove the ceiling and the wall will stay sloped, which is what I had done. This is a pretty cool tool to auto cut that roof for the stairs. The point is, once you have used the ceiling plane to shape the wall, the ceiling can be eliminated without effecting the shape of the wall at the bottom. In fact you can then select wall and uncheck roof cuts wall at bottom and the wall will still remain sloped at the bottom. Thanks for the tip.
  17. I have reported something similar..... shadows not updating. I communicated this with Brian about a year ago. He was not able to reproduce it. I was doing a skype with Glenn and I could not reproduce with him. However Glenn did witness that in a back clip cross section of the right side of a house with a slab foundation, the slab would not be there one moment and I could see the bottom of the AC unit on the other side of the house, I would close view and then reopen and then the slab foundation would be there and I would not be able to see the AC unit on the other side of the house. I would then reopen the view again and then the foundation would not be there and then I would be able to see the AC unit on the other side of the house again. I did not report this. If I stumble across that plan again, (if I remember which plan it was), I will send that in. I started this thread hoping somebody would corroborate this behavior. I think they have confirmed that something is amiss.
  18. I call that the SAM. I have been using this method for 17 years. It works for me.
  19. I do not believe this changes anything. I selected the wall and unchecked ".... roof cuts wall at bottom" and it changed nothing. However his solution of adjusting shape of wall in elevation does work and I believe this is the best solution to date.
  20. Go up to attic level and delete those walls, they should auto rebuild and be fixed..... I did not test my theory
  21. Yeah, I care, you went20 years without a team and now you have two teams. My fall back team is the Cowboys.
  22. You know what Perry? I am not sure if I will be watching football this year. It seems like last year I watched very little football. But...... we will see.....
  23. I did not realize you were having issues too. I have sent it in and they say they cannot repeat the behavior.
  24. yes, what also worked for me to hit the update all views button again. It's all good now, but I thought the purpose of the button was to hit it and all views are updated.
  25. No, if I open the view, it is not there.... it is a virtual remnant only visible in layout
