  1. Okay guy, here are two plans with the same refrigerator yet the materials look different in render/normal mode. Can you explain why? BBB SS IS GOOD 2.plan.zip BBB SS NOT GOOD.plan.zip
  2. JB, camera angle will not matter, DG, I will post the plans when I have a time, I have an appt. in a minute...... tried to set up plans and I am getting inconsisitent results......
  3. See pic, note the stainless steel appliances. I have two different files open but I am using the same appliances in each plan yet they look different depending on the plan. Is there some kind of legacy setting that one plan might have and the other does not. Again, they are the same exact appliances with the same exact material yet they look different in render view.
  4. Just post the plan with what you are working with and somebody will help you.
  5. This will probably not work because the symbol she is using is probably for base cabinets..... I have seen this before.
  6. This probably will not work because the origin will probably be in the incorrect location.
  7. Wall with arched top..... Put a curved roof on top that matches the arch you want. Wall will stop at arched roof. Select top right corner of wall and drag down 6". Now grab same corner and drag up 6". Delete roof, done..... Wall with arched top will remain as is.
  8. Jon, you did not miss anything. I have no clue how to work with the sketchup terrain.
  9. You are probably not missing anything.... but as they say, model it as they would build it.
  10. A wild guess...... I believe I can have several schedules for windows, a schedule for windows on first floor and another schedule for windows on second floor. Using that logic, I wonder if you can put the "plants/plan notes" on the 14th floor and the PLANT on the ground floor. Have not checked, just a guess.
  11. Possible so, I used the foam domed ceiling in my own bathroom..... an off the shelf dome would not work.... the profile etc was to match the tub in the bathroom therefore it had to be custom. Cost about 5000.00. I also worked on a project where we had a dome over a piano in a piano room, again we used the foam that was custom shaped... do not remember the cost of that one.
  12. Great question. I think the way this will be built is a hole is framed. And then the builder will have a FOAM dome that he will mount in there. So...... you need to think about using SOLIDS...... DO NOT USE PSOLIDS. Form a half dome SOLID and put that in a square SOLID (the square solid is bigger), and then subtract the half dome SOLID from the cube SOLID, you will end up with a CUBE that has the dome carved out of it.
  13. Number the doors and windows individually via the labels. Put the door and window schedule in a cad detail and put it where ever you want it... IOW , do not put schedule in plan but put it in a cad detail.
  14. Can you eliminate any outdoor light so I do not see the green grass?
  15. they should no be the same color, something is wrong.
  16. Never mind, I figured it out. You can see by the pic on the right I have essentially no light on the front door.
  17. There you go, post the plan and you have an answer in about 132.38 seconds.........
  18. Will somebody please teach me how to create a rendering of a night time shot of this plan before The Great Glenn Woodward makes me feel like a dweeb? It seems like with every new release, I need to learn the methods all over again. I have done what I perceive are some great night time (toggle sunlight off) renderings in the past, so I know it is possible. I am now working with X7 and I cannot do it. I have included the plan and 2 renderings. One rendering is daytime , the other night time. If I have no light, wouldn't I see only a black picture? BBB NO LIGHT TEST 1.plan.zip
  19. Scott, do you want me to guess some more or do you want to post the plan so you can get a quick answer? Every time I guess at these things, I am wasting everybody's time. Just post the plan please instead of wasting everybodies time.
  20. I feel so stupid pointing this out again, but the question and request has been answered several times already. Here is a pic of auto dimensions dimensioning to the center of the walls. Are we not understanding what you are asking or are you not listening?
  21. Look in the Manuel under dimensions, specifically LOCATE
