  1. Joe, I think it imported but I can't find the .calibz file in my library or even search it. What did you call it ?
  2. You can always upload to your cloud account and post the link but it sure would be nice to be able to use the forum. My local submissions office recently started taking online submissions and has a 10MB upload limit and I told them I use another website that has an archaic 25MB limit and they should raise theirs to 100MB, OH WELL...
  3. No it used to be 25MB prior to the last update.
  4. Using your numbers I can get it close but certainly not close enough for a client that is spending that sort of money. Maybe if the facets could be controlled it would work ok, but not sure you would pay your plasterer if his joints were left open by 3/4"
  5. It seems like it should work just like a bastard valley I would think. No ? Did you try the join ceiling planes tool ?
  6. So it looks to me like your present system exceeds the minimum requirements. What am I missing ?
  7. This may also be of some help: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00001/backing-up-chief-architect-content.html
  8. I believe all that data is stored in your .ini file. Take a look and see if you have a backup of: C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Chief Architect Inc Templates should be: C:\Users\User\Documents\Chief Architect Premier X12 Data\Templates You can check in Preferences> General> Folders> All Program Paths: Show... for other locations.
  9. Yes he had some sort of an issue with YouTube but if you PM him his intention was to keep his own library of videos I think.
  10. Pretty sure Michael did a great video on doing those in Chief a while back if you wanted to slip him a note to see if he still has a copy of that one.
  11. Unfortunately I think the update was that they are not supported. Kinda disappointing if you ask me. No chance to even try it out.
  12. That is actually what I tried first and it would not wrap properly because of excess transparent border and then I messed with scale and offset until I got frustrated and gave up. Then I got into the whole p-solid mess and crashed the file. Then moved on to the Image method and was not happy with the quality so I edited the png file and found it did not rotate. So finally you suggest the original method and it just so happens that the edited png file I made works perfectly. Except for Vector View. I just did not think of going full circle and back to that although it was not quite as simple as Ryan's example because of the shape not being a rectangle but a diamond, but if you are going to be unique it will always take more time or cost extra. Thanks Guys ! I brought this plan forward so it looks like I will be trying out "Line Drawing on Top" of Standard View since that was something I requested a while back.
  13. Transparency is ok in the image file and don't need to use the adjustments in chief.
  14. Yes. But not necessarily vector. That is just a bonus. Vector or Standard.....
  15. Maybe but plan view is not a 3D horizontal surface. It needs to be a 3D camera view and the image needs to lay flat on the horizontal surface visible from above. The "Image Always Faces Camera" setting is completely invisible from directly above. Also I am not using that setting so the image stays in a fixed location on the surface.
  16. Yes no problem using them on a vertical surface but I can't seem to make them lay on a horizontal surface. Convert to symbol would work but it is not an option.
  17. Save the file and close it then post the plan file here on the forum and one of the experts can take a look and maybe fix it for you.
  18. Ah hu... That looks cool Glenn but don't let your insurance agent see the plans. I guess I should have been more specific that it needs to be visible in a 3D camera view which is why I chose the Image because I remember you saying that it even works in vector view.
  19. Yes Build> Image> Create Image. It is actually a black logo with transparent lettering that shows the background colour. Possibly I could edit the transparent areas to match to the background and create a material but most likely the colour would be off and not look right. I originally tried to do a p-solid with the lettering cut out but had a bunch of overlaps that I could not see and ended up crashing the program which was a waste of more than a just a couple of hours. Then I went to the Image which is quick but did not realize it would not rotate.
  20. Has anyone found a method to rotate an image so that it can be viewed from above ?
  21. No Sorry it just does not seem to work. If it needs to look correct you can fill with a p-solid.
