  1. Ok I guess it can be done with transparent text then. Still pretty goofy though even for a default label.
  2. That is most likely not possible any more because of the way they have it centered but give it a try so they have all the facts when you send it in.
  3. Kyle you will likely need to use a Transparent Text Style with a contrasting text color to your roof plane fill but it seems that you also have an issue with your macro or it may just be your font. Place a couple of carriage returns after your macro in the roof label or build a "\n" or two into the macro. Are you getting those results on a Mac ? I was told it was not happening on Mac's. The changes they made in X13 are likely technically correct but they simply do not work with the roof label.
  4. That looks to be almost the exact same situation as this post:
  5. So is that standard view that looks like an oddly tilted crappy ray trace ? Does anything irregular show up in Preferences under the Video Card Status ?
  6. Perhaps you damaged your video card running the TV ? Did you shut down to change the connections ?
  7. Yes you can create the note in Text Macro Management and then it will be there for multiple uses and can be edited or revised and each instance will reflect those changes. That is a fairly organized and versatile way to go about it. There are other ways of course such as the new feature of X13 that allows them to be saved directly to the library. You can even just have them stacked up off to the side of your detail template and grab the ones you need.
  8. Any way Text Macros are something you should look into that can be edited and will dynamically update all instances. They can also be written to access the property values of objects and display the active value.
  9. Do you use multiple instances of the same label in the same set of plans ?
  10. Create Hotkey List A list of the hotkeys available to the current program user can be saved in .html or .xhtml format. Select Tools> Toolbars and Hotkeys> Create Hotkey List to open the Save Hotkey List File dialog, a standard Save dialog, and create a hotkey list that can then be opened in a web browser window and printed, if you wish.
  11. You don't really need to use a polyline solid for 2D shading. Rooms have Fill Styles or you can simply use a polyline. No I don't believe you can have anything other than black shading when printing in Black and White. You would be limited to hatching patterns.
  12. Yea apparently chief has not figured that out yet either. Likely the easiest remedy for that situation without seeing the plan file would be to add a 4" invisible exterior layer to your railing wall definition.
  13. Yes right over on the right side of the DBX at the top. You can actually set it as a default so it is always preset when you open up.
  14. It is not a new issue but I don't think it has been resolved yet either. So it might be helpful to send it in to tech support.
  15. It may also be possible to get what you need straight from the manufacturer or their website if it is a current production model.
  16. So it seems that for the Kravet Clemson products that are available in the library none of them are exactly what you are after ? If I am understanding or at least getting close to what you are after is some fairly advanced symbol manipulation for Chief but likely it can be done with a little patience. I would suggest that you break one of the existing sofas down into it's components and then configure and bump them together like cabinets until the client actually decides what they want. I think you could get everything but the rounded corner piece that way. Likely best to set up a screen sharing secession with someone or have someone do it for you and make a recording so you can do it yourself next time.
  17. Sorry Mitek is an international company so there should not be an issue. Do your local supplies use their software ? https://www.mitek-us.com/posi-strut/
  18. Yes you need to edit the 3D model to change the 3D model unfortunately. The cad block can be automatically generated from the revised 3D model but they are two almost completely different things so you may need to go back to your previous thread and resolve those issues. YES ! Not the way your are attempting anyway.
  19. Not even close considering you are closer to the server but it is all good.
  20. Funny thing is that they were actually designed and patent about 20 years ago by a local guy I knew but they seem to be fairly widely available now that the patent has run out. https://www.mitek.ca/Products/Truss-Connector-Plates/POSI-STRUT-Floor-System/
  21. Sorry I don't have that particular sofa in my library. Was it a symbol in the first place or just a cad block ? Symbols have a 3D and 2D component that are really not connected in any way other than the software has an ability to regenerate a 2D cad block from a 3D symbol.
  22. It seems like you may have just missed the last step. Once you give it a name it should show up in the list of "Available CAD Blocks" and can be assigned to the original symbol.
  23. Ok so this is a 2D cad block of a symbol that you want to edit the looks of ? You placed the symbol into plan view and then accessed the appropriate cad block from "Cad Block Management" and inserted that into your plan and then proceeded with steps 2 and 3 ? If so you then need to re block the cad block and give it a recognizable name. Then go to the symbol and reassign it as the new 2D cad block.
  24. Also "edit cad block" is a new X13 feature. Have you updated ? Just not sure how a cad block has anything to do with a sofa.
