  1. Joe, my apology, I misread the term... I heard of skirt but not skirl... never came across siding like this in my neck of the woods.
  2. The term "skirt" is used as an example, is when you have a room lets say on top of a deck with vinyl siding and you enclose the sides of the deck using lets say a vertical siding, etc... the sided lower portion of the deck is called a "skirt" ... or another example is you have a sided trailer and you drop the siding down to enclose the under carriage, that lower portion would be called a "skirt".
  3. Maybe you can use this if you din't find anything better. Wave Siding.calibz
  4. No problems here also, must be your settings or video card.
  5. The way I do it, I would go into your molding folder in the Library- select the molding you want to use> right click on it > Select> Place Molding Profile... and click on the screen... That will put your molding profile on the screen and you can do whatever you like with it. In your case spin the molding around and use Transform/Replicate and use Reflect Horizontally. I hope it helps.
  6. Designed this multi functioned Secretary Table/Desk in Sketchup, it came out pretty good, so I made a symbol out of it... If anyone interested help yourself. Made 2 symbols one with the lid closed to be used as table, and one with the lid open to be used as a desk. Enjoy Secretary Desk Closed.calibz Secretary Desk Open.calibz
  7. My pleasure Alan, glad you can use it!
  8. I have this one maybe it will help Cage Safety Ladder.calibz
  9. I'm not sure what video I was watching, but I think Dan from Chief Experts mentioned in one of them that the release date would be around January (I guess everyone hears it from a grapevine or just predicting) ...
  10. No problems at all, as a matter a fact it runs better in 10 vs. 7 or 8.1.
  11. You need to highlight the text in order to change text size... You cannot change text size without having the text highlighted.
  12. I can see the roof being a problem if a roof plane cuts the deck, but in this case roof plane is nowhere close to the deck, and the top of the ridge is way up there... that shouldn't be an issue. I thought it had something to do with the lack of support for the deck, but looking at the framing details, there is no way this deck can be attached the way it shows. I guess a s^*t load of manual framing has to be done to make this work and if you like to show the framing details.
  13. Use terrain elevation to adjust deck height.
  14. Just use CA , set the terrain, put the pool on top of it and do the deck around it use curved deck railing. You set defaults will automatically put posts, piers, beams. Being this round pool, you might have to make some adjustments to the beams and post. Just make it same way you build it in reality. Here is out of the box deck just to give you an idea.
  15. What ever you come up with Wendy... I love it!!! Even if you curse I think you would sound cute Thank you again for taking the time, and I'm sure everyone including myself find your tips very helpful!!! Where do I send flowers?
  16. Rob the way I do something like this, is I make room moulding PL, in plan view I cut the needed section of the molding and select each cut section and in DBX select no molding on select edge for each section in your case around the fireplace, after that use P-line to outline missing molding section in your case it would be around the fireplace and convert that section back to Molding P-Line and select the moulding matching existing and change the material to whatever you need
  17. Thank you Wendy for taking the time to make these videos!!! Very helpful and greatly appreciated.
  18. I don't know Mick, I been using this one for a while. There is also Real World Cursor Editor that one is free I think...someone I know they using that.

  20. NP Larry, I would also try and change the material of the terrain maybe something happened to that material, who knows.... because it looks like its happening throughout the whole terrain.
  21. Larry, I think this happened to me before, and by placing a check mark Hide Terrain Intersected by the Building solved that problem. Check make sure that window has a check mark in Terrain specification box in General tab way at the bottom.
