  1. Looks like your framing floor joists layer isn't on.
  2. Glad that it worked for you. Quite interesting how many things get corrected with a close of the plan sometimes.
  3. Rob, when I opened it this is what I got. No decimals. Have you tried opening since you sent file to see if it is corrected?
  4. Not sure if this is what you're after but should be no problem with autobuild except for the pony wall. Draw the pony wall in last. as long as you have your defaults set up correct should be no problem. Only edit I did was the chamfers on the floor slabs. If you post your plan, you will have a fix quickly.
  5. You could do it like Eric said or do it automatic and raise the footing manually in elevation view. If you do it automatic then you must make sure your room height is correct for the foundation/stem wall default as you will essentially be shrinking it's height by manipulating the footings. only little thing you will need to do is pull back the floor cad box after you auto detail.

  7. I would just use a shelf ceiling.
  8. Change the top settings to 35 as well. If you click on the line weight symbol on right hand side of preview you will see the way it works.
  9. There is lots of different ways of doing what you want if I understand your question correctly. Could you post a pic or the the plan and give a little more detail what you specifically want to do.
  10. This is post I believe Eric is referring to.
  11. Which door were you trying to edit? What sizing would you want panels and stiles?
  12. Do you have framing set to rebuild automatically? Try rebuilding framing. Also check your floor platform defaults.
  13. I think like Scott. Easy to workaround but then you lose material list tracking for lots of things. Would be nice to create assemblies of some things and rotate a few we can't now. Soffits being one of them. Where is framing for it...magically suspended wherever its placed lol.
  14. I would just use soffits to make the parallel with rafters and p solids for the other stuff. Place soffits in plan view to follow ceiling. Then layout the p solids in cross section. Place moulding line for the crown on the soffits and use moulding profile to create a p solid crown for the perpendicular to rafters. Easy to rotate the cad profile before you convert to solid. Should also set profiles where you want them before you convert to p solid or you will have hard time adjusting.
  15. In 3D, SHIFT does the super fast zoom like CTRL in plan view.
  16. I agree with Eric, keep it simple. Room with cabinet(s) with cushion on top. Variables like whether roof will extend down or be same height, floor cantilever, etc. are easy to accommodate.
  17. Could be that you are printing to PDF at a different dpi than what you are actually printing at. Check out the thread below. https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/3917-line-weights/#comment-34109
  18. Mick, Nudura blocks are 18" high by 96" long. Most I have seen are 48" long. Would make quick work forming it up.
  19. The only problem trying to show the ICF pattern is that if you try and get too technical with corner blocks and tees etc. Might be easier to show with cad lines. Set your foundation default for 36 for stemwall height. The only math you will have to do is for first floor heights. You will most likely want a sill on top of wall for trusses or rafters. That will need to be manually drawn or a pony wall with framing only set to sill thickness. Pony wall will autobuild roof where you want it, manually drawing sill will require raising the roof if you autobuild.
  20. Chief could be used for what you want no problem. It will be all about settings in defaults to get what you're after. You could place joist hangers from the library for the floor joists. The Simpson ICFVL is to support the ledger and found in Simpson catalog in library. I don't think you can use the SSA catalogs with trial version though.
  21. Could you use retaining wall instead? You can put door with gate style selected in that.
  22. Just re-read your question. If you want to just patch the small section then do as Mick suggests.
  23. You can just add it under mouldings. It will place it against toe kick if you select 0" to bottom.
