I am beginning to think you might have a grounding issue and perhaps a Static discharge is causing the issues since you mentioned the Floor has carpet on it... just a thought......... Mick.

Certainly sounds strange to me , I guess you haven't talked to EVGA then? as I have never heard of "Vibrations" causing an issue...... Same Driver as me and you have sleep issues too..... You may need to clarify exactly what you are doing or trying to do as this is a Plan done in the Imperial Template , not Metric so I don't think it is possible to show the Contours in Meters automatically. A new one perhaps in X14, ( or I never tried it before, not sure? ) is if you enter Elevation Data in Meters ( add m to all measurements ) the Label seems to hold/remember meters not feet so perhaps you can turn off the Auto Contour Labels and draw you own contours at the req'd heights. the Storey Pole can use Meters if needed though......... or vice versa in a Metric Template it could use Feet/Inch

Thanks , I'm now even more curious though as you have the same 3080Ti I do from EVGA I think - FTW3 Ultra? but with me it is Chief only......games etc I have not had issues with..... Do you have high Quality DP Cables? as there can be DP Blanking Issues which I had in the past on different Cards and it was their suggested Fix but after months of it happening, replacement Cables and even BenQ RMAing my Monitors, it seemed to fix itself and in the end I put it down to Nvidia Driver Issues, but I have had it several times now again with the latest Nvidia Studio Driver (512.59) but only on sleep/boot, previously the screen would just go black and sometimes not comeback unless I powered the monitor on/off. You aren't putting the Dim in perpendicular to the line but to the House/Page in the Video, which is fine as that's how CA will some snap best sometimes.... but you then need to set the Dim. Line PP to the PL/SB line, which will make it look like the Dim snapped back to where you clicked. ( the Ext. Line is on PL line now, so not noticeable, but Marker/attachment is likely still out on the Corner/Break Node, unless using a PT-PT Dim) M.

I also use this trick at times, but you don't need to Dimension the Line , just turn on the Arrow both ends and "Show Length" in the Line's DBX. M.

with "unruly" Dims like those I find the Perpendicular (PP) Tool is handy to make the Dim PP to the Line, in the Video you have drawn it straight up the page hence not PP to the line this will make it look like the Dim snapped back to where you clicked. In Preferences Set the Auto-Save time to 60 mins and make the Archive Daily and see if it helps..... This is one of the Issues I also have in X13 and ***maybe related to Older Plans brought forward. ( And no Dermot I can't reproduce it , so you won't find a Report ) M.

You would be able to "Trace" the CAD Work in CA though or have someone do it for you? or simply draw a "Similar Design" in CA yourself or once again with some Help. (Training) M.

Sounds like you missed the link in that article to the X8 Viewer (in green) it is able to open old files and save them to the new file types so X9 and above can open them. Mick.

It sounds like you have set the ALDO's Show All Layers Option to on........

We would need to know what version ( Forum signature not done yet ) you are using and what dimension Default as in new versions Chief will/can dimension to the Cabinet AND also theDoor Slab itself and with a 1/16th reveal it can mess up Dims depending on what they are snapping too. Mick.

Sometimes the Error message does not show what was actually entered as Chief will try and auto-correct it , and sometimes it works and the Error message still shows. It should work with " or ' but if neither is enter Chief assumes Inches in all cases, perhaps check KB in Notepad to see if a dot is a dot M.

Don't take it personally... :) but as you may have deducted by now, not many people Export Plans to .STL to 3D Print them.... so you'd be better off Calling Support. M. don't forget to do your forum Signature for future Posts..... the Version can be very important.
