  1. That's bizarre. I swear I tried that a half dozen times. Now I've done it and it works. I'm losing my mind. Thanks so much!
  2. Here's the plan. I agree, one shouldn't rotate a plan and I rarely, if ever, do. But because of the weird callouts I tried, but it doesn't rotate. Wessel kitchen 04.plan
  3. I thought so too but it makes no difference when I attempt to rotate it.
  4. I suspect it's user error, but I can't find it. Any ideas as to why my callout numbering is upside down? I thought perhaps I'd rotated the plan, but that doesn't seem to make a difference. In fact, when I attempt to rotate the plan it doesn't rotate.
  5. Here's what I ended up with. The front elevation didn't convert the white-out, but I whited out the top-hinge opening indicators on the the upper door sections and drew in my own showing a center hinge. And showed a side view. Thanks for all the suggestions.
  6. Thanks all for the great advice. It sounds like Chief could use more tweaking in the cabinet department. 100% of my projects require a light rail. It should be easy to do. I'll put in a feature request.
  7. The purpose is to create a 1.25" light rail that looks correct in cross section.
  8. Can you describe how you'd do that in X8? I'm confused!
  9. That makes sense but Chief doesn't put opening indicators on bifolds. Never thought of that!
  10. Thanks Michael. That would work, but there must be a standard for front elevation for this type of cabinet. I can't find anything on manufacturers' sites.
  11. It's nice that we no longer have to manually draw opening indicators for top-hinged doors. But I'm having a hard time with the attached. How would something like this be displayed in elevation, both front and side? Also, how to specify that the cabinet hits the ceiling so the door must stop before hitting? Any help would be appreciated!
  12. Well, X8 is here and so is the problem! PITA!
  13. Thanks for all the replies. I wish Tommy lived in Indy!
  14. I got it. It has an appliance in it. Chief no likey.
  15. Even with a new plan in X8, I the options to modify/add to wall cabinets cabinet tab are grayed out. It makes me wonder if I did something weird a ways back. I can modify if I'm setting default wall cabinets, but not once it's in a plan. Anyone else have this issue?
  16. I know what you mean. It's taking a chance and I'd have to check everything. Still, it could be a big time saver.
  17. Does anyone know why there's no "Set As Default" button for full height cabinets, but there are for base and wall cabinets?
  18. This may not be the place to ask this, but I'm looking for someone to do the occasional whole-house as-built drawing in the Indianapolis area. I'm not lazy, it just takes too much time away from the actual designing.
  19. OMG! That's hilarious. Thanks so much.
