Thanks so much! Just what I was looking for!

All good points, Bill. Maybe I'll give Manic another try.

Thanks Lew.

Thanks all. I guess I'll put my platform in my signature, Richard. I've tried Allnetic and Manic, but found Chrometa better suited for me. Nevertheless, it lacks in certain areas, most importantly the ability to differentiate between the actual Chief files. It generically tracks various windows (Library, Rich Text, etc) which is worthless, but won't track the open file name. They tell me that since Chief Architect won't allow scripting, whatever that means, they can't track the file paths. I'll check out Grindstone and TIme Stamp.

Does anyone around here use 3rd party software to track their time? If so, what? For more information on what I mean, please see this thread.

As do I if I'm editing but I wanted to erase a whole bunch of framing.
-
In plan view. I locked the wall layers so I wouldn't delete them. Marquee select is set to Select Intersected Objects. Perhaps it's designed to work this way, but each time I group-selected a bunch of wall framing, the program would decide which studs in a given wall to delete, usually the smallest wall within the selection. I don't see why it would do this when it allows me to group-select any other framing for deletion.
-
I could swear I've done this before, but now I cannot group-select a bunch of studs for deletion. When I marquis around them, a few will select but most don't. Feel free to inform me if I'm losing my mind. No problems group-selecting other framing members.

Why don't they default to ALL CAPS? It's crazy to have to do that for each label. AIA and NKBA require all text to be in capital letters. Is there a check box that I've missed?
-
Agreed. It's a PITA when I do exactly that. If they're going to provide a way to do sloped insulation panels, they may as well include cant strips!

Larry, I think you have to do it manually. I vaguely remember having this issue before. I assume Chief freaks out when there's no overhang. I also vaguely remember having to manually put a molding line up as the drip edge.

This is why I love this community. Thanks all!

I thought I'd seen a training vid on this too but I don't see it.

What second floor? It's a single level. That's my problem!

I'd love opinions on the best way to properly draw and model this. How does one draw walls on top of a roof like this? I'm pretty good with Chief roofs, but I don't recall doing something like this.

I had more issues with the last bit of grammar than the first!

James, that was it! It was set to Universal Scroll. Hidden in the Other menu was the middle button choice. Thank you!
-
Perhaps it is. Can you suggest a way to test that?

I appreciated Scott's video about hot keys for fast zooming.
-
H'mm. I wonder if it's my mouse or my settings.
-
Do most users hold the scroll wheel down to pan around a plan or elevation? My Logitech MX600 doesn't seem to allow this, but I remember having done it in the past. It's so slow to zoom out and back in to get to a new location. Any suggestions?

Missing Half the Jamb in Doorway in Double Wall
Adam_Gibson replied to Adam_Gibson's topic in General Q & A
Almost. Nice try. Would this qualify as a bug? -
The title says is all. What's up with that? I don't remember ever having this issue. I placed the doorway in the wall to the right. It created the matching opening just fine, but only put jamb on the right side.

Can you access these maps from a PC?
