  1. Interesting. And frustrating. Surely, I'm not the only person trying to create cabinet pulls. Anyone else out there? Thanks for trying, Joe!
  2. Joe, where is the option for "Embedded Geometry?" I don't see it during the import process. By the way, I'm trying to import a SketchUp object.
  3. I"m sure it must be me, but when creating a pull, or getting one from 3D Warehouse, and converting it to a symbol, I don't see how to attach it to a cabinet. When I open the symbol, I assume I should check the radio button "Inserts into Cabinet Front." But it doesn't show up in the library. Who knows the proper way to create cabinet pulls and add to the library?

  7. Interesting. When I mull units a casing is always applied. I can't make it stop, so I have to remove it every time I mull units.
  8. Thanks for bringing this up. I have the same problem but didn't think to report it. I will.
  9. That's such a simple and logical idea, and one I never dreamed of. Thank you!
  10. Revisiting this almost 4 years later. Anyone have a faster method? I use the Sill option for windows all the time.
  11. Nope. Only one layout. I only opened the other one as a test to see if the link was broken. But thanks!
  12. Does anyone know why the "Text Below Line" in a callout automatically populates correctly when sent to almost all layouts, but doesn't when using a different layout? I'm using a different size page than I typically do, and no more automatic population!
  13. That's pretty cool. But sadly, most of my GCs tack the pages to walls.
  14. Stated better than I! I'm looking for something on the elevation to point back to the floor plan. I want a two-way street. So if someone opens up, say, a page 13 cross section without having looked at the plan first, there would be a callout below it that points to where that camera (callout) is placed in the plan.
  15. That only works in plan. Not in elevation. That's the bummer!
  16. Yes, I mentioned it. It was a revelation because I always have to make sure I'm referring to the correct layout page when I draw a callout on an elevation.
  17. Now that y'all mention it, possibly it was an upcoming feature in X10. I'm confused. In any event, thank all for taking the time to address it!
  18. Hi, Joe, At the Users' Group meeting in August, it was pointed out that there is a way to automatically link elevation callouts to plan callouts. I've known that the bottom line populates correctly in the plan, based on where one places the elevation in the layout. E.G.: if I move the elevation to a different page, the plan callout changes automatically. But I've always (and continue to) enter the corresponding information in the elevation callout manually. For the life of me, I can't remember how it was done automatically. But thanks for the response. Hopefully, someone from the meeting was taking better notes than I!
  19. Anyone know why, when a Callout Specification DBX is open in an elevation, when I go the Text Below Line field and attempt to insert a macro using Global>Layout Info, the options are greyed out? I thought it might be because I hadn't sent the elevation to layout, but the options are greyed out all the time. I'm trying to automate the callout to associate with the correct page in the layout. I assume I'm omitting a step, but I can't figure out which one.
  20. I was doing that with no success. Turns out I had to reconvert it to a symbol first. Then I could make it treated as a handle.
  21. Aside from creating individual cabinets and applying pulls one at a time, does anyone know the process (if one exists) of importing 3D pulls so they attach to cabinets? I feel like a newbie.
  22. Michael, thanks so much for the info!
