  1. Is that the expected/normal behavior? Yes, I was using the "Locate Wall" button from the framing view & that got me close.
  2. Creating a Header schedule I select one row & click the "Find Object in Plan" which takes me to the wall frame view instead of the plan view. Do I have a setting off or is this normal?
  3. FYI When you rotate a 3D solid in plan view the transform replicate command works as expected to move the object BUT the arrow keys do not move as expected. They remain orientated to the original position as created. Tech support confirmed the bug, and may be fixed in a future update.
  4. You are correct Joe. This is my reply to tech support after they confirmed the issue. Yes please report this issue. Seems short-sighted to allow "Call Outs", "Markers" & "Notes" to access the Room name but a ROOM "Wall Elevation Camera" to not allow access to a room name.
  5. Thanks Joe, but wanted the camera to pick up the room name it was in & the layout to display that room name in it's label. Once you type in the rooms name you do only have to alter it in one place, the room dbx. Is there a prefix to %room.name% that would work in the camera NAME field?
  6. So a regular Call Out will pick up the Room name, see clip: But a Wall Elevation Camera will not pick up the room Name?
  7. Working on dinner so I'll pick this up later. What I was thinking is that the camera could pick up the room name from the room it was in. That could be used as the label of the layout created from that camera. This means only the room name need be changes to change the layout label name. later
  8. Is there a way to link the room name into the Wall Elevation Call Out ? So you can use it in the elevation layout box?
  9. All that and the solid as a column within a wall with windows & the leader will not find the column. Not worth the aggravation!
  10. I set my leaders to attach on the tail only so I don't have issues bumping the text around. The leader behaves & doesn't mess with the level line.
  11. I told you I was brain dead today. Thanks Michael!
  12. It does not appear to evaluate.
  13. begin result = owner.label rescue result = referenced.label end result
  14. I should probably know this but brain dead today.
  15. I use solids for steel columns often. If I over ride the solids Label is there a way to use a leader text to show the solids label?
  16. So here in Florida we are not allowed to have a shower drain below flood elevation. I show a 4" drop shower in the master bath. Yes the drain is below flood elevation but the house floor is 1" above base flood elevation. My contention is that the house would need to flood before the shower drain can receive water from the flood waters. Your thoughts?
  17. Just starting on this one but I'll use trusses on the roof. Steel & trusses on the balconies. Still fighting the terrain:)
  18. Thanks for the help. Brian said this: I was able to reproduce this issue and I have logged a report in our database. The problem with placing the niche in 3D seems related to the thickness of the wall. For some reason it doesn't work once the wall becomes greater than 22" thick. You should be able to place in 2D though, but your case this is complicated by the windows on the top of the wall. You could work around this by changing the Vertical Stacking level of the windows in that wall. Doing this will allow you to place the niche in plan view.
