I have labels area polylines with 2 lines of text but would like the schedule to only show the first line. Is there a way to do that?

Some things get missed & you can't see how you missed it! "If it was a snake it would have bit you!" kind of thing.

Doesn't it mess up all the square footage's?

If you flip the 4" wall with the "Reverse Layer" tool so both primary sides are on the same side the line goes away.
-
When I click on each one they open in the core catalog at the same place. I suppose I could select each time to be sure they are the same?

I do, over & over & over again as I update all layout boxes. Until the final print, Oh Sh*t I forgot the last time.

Thanks all.. Tech support had no magic, same methods mentioned here. The problem I had with soffits no showing an opening went away once I restarted Chief. So that is what I did use, but the plan view soffit lines do not join so I have to use a polyline for plan view. Thanks Steve, the issue I had with that method is the the room schedule is not correct. And the owner wanted a room schedule in the plans.

No luck this time Perry. I usually drop a plume mask over them rather than edit them away as any refresh & I forget to do it again.

Well that may be the least trouble. Although I was hoping Chief would frame the ceiling. Too much to ask? I sent to tech support.

I just tried 6" tall soffits ILO ceiling plane but when the soffits wrap into a rectangle they close the center, no hole. Is that a bug? And soffits do not allow holes! PS this worked after restarting Chief

Thanks for looking at this. The wall inside is drywall from the core catalog & both are 5/8.

I have a 6" drop ceiling with holes. But I want the perimeter to jump up 6" to the original ceiling. Problem is the ceiling vertical plane does not build. See photo. I tried putting a hole there but it just trims the original ceiling polyline. I have windows that finish at the top ceiling line, so I can not have the hole inside the main drop ceiling. Any suggestions? Thanks

How do you deal with these unwanted lines in vector view?

So did you see this article? https://www.finehomebuilding.com/forum/how-would-you-frame-this-cornice-return or this: https://countryplans.com/smf/index.php?PHPSESSID=4f6426e5c2f5513d904b33535b7d0985&msg=168180 Or this? https://www.thisiscarpentry.com/2013/12/13/eave-returns-interpreting-gyhr-details/

If the change is very minor it would be better to modify the CAD file using CAD. Else try this: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00170/using-cad-to-walls-from-an-imported-dwg-dxf.html

Thanks That's where I'm at.

Any way to do this with wall framing? The window is at the ceiling line so the header/beam must be in the floor framing above.
-
Well had it turned on but wasn't using it . Thanks for the tip.

Anyone want to recommend an add on for Windows 10 to enhance the clipboard found in Windows? I would like to save multiple copies of mostly text. When I'm in the framing plan or foundation plan I find myself printing the same notes over & over. I have gravitated to Chief Note call-outs but I like having the text at the location, not a lookup number.

Thanks for that Glenn & Perry. I corrected the post above.

Thanks for the link Glenn. Perry. Sorry about that

Justin How did you do the seamless glass railing? I'm working on a modern style too.
