  1. It looks to me like you are trying to access the 3d feature while you are still in plan view. If you open or create your 3d view those options will be available to you. Most of the 3D dropdown menu items are unavailable in plan view.
  2. Does anybody know of a way to get the Library Browser to display the plants by their Common Names and not the Scientific Names? I really don't want to become a Botany major just so I can locate a Walnut or Apricot tree. And of course as we all know by now the search feature is as useless as teats on a boar hog. I do realize that you can cross reference the names in the Plant Chooser but you have to enter each category of plant individually and there are dozens of categories.
  3. I don't use the feature but I think this is what you are looking for.
  4. Heaven knows I don't want to start a range war.... But I've read that the Mac division (as small as it is) is one of Apple's biggest cash cows. Why? Because the profit margin on those machines is very high. Translation, Apple is gouging you guys.
  5. Those two layers are two of the basic AutoCAD layers. Whenever you open a new drawing (.dwg) file in ACAD it automatically creates layer "0". Once you dimension anything in the drawing ACAD creates the "Defpoints" layer. These layers cannot be deleted in ACAD.
  6. Resistance is futile. It's a Window's world. BTW, what is Apple's market share these days?
  7. I see Jintu got the transfer accomplished. Sorry, I got sidetracked last night and by the time I checked back you guys figured it out. Mick, I haven't tried to download or install anything yet, but after seeing Jintu's gorgeous sample I will definitely be checking it out. I was hoping you guys would get the process all smoothed out and then I will waltz in and reap the benefits.
  8. Do you guys want me to transfer Mick's tutorial to the Corona thread? If I copy and paste Mick's original post (#38) the images transfer fine. If I copy and paste Jintu's copy of Mick's post (#41) the links to the images transfer and are active so the pics can be accessed. I would have just gone ahead and transferred the post but there seemed to be some question as to whether the steps were working properly or needed to be tweaked.
  9. Just highlight Mick's post and copy it. Then go to the other thread and past it into the reply window. I think here is where I'm supposed to say ... easy peasy.
  10. Looks like that Holstein on the floor didn't fare too well either.
  11. Yep, there's a lot to like about SSD's. Why wouldn't you want to replace an internal disk spinning at 5 to 10 thousand rpm with a drive that has no moving parts? Think about that, no moving parts. Are you kidding me, a fence post has no moving parts. A rock has no moving parts. How the heck does a highly sophistimacated doowhackey like a data storage and retrieval device have no moving parts?
  12. Let's see you build one of these with base cabinets. eAntique Desk
  13. Sounds like a decent upgrade and you probably got the most bang for your buck. The only thing you said that I might take exception to is that your 525W power supply is "robust". In today's environment I would want 750W minimum and more likely 1000W. If you eventually want to go to the real performers in the video card market you will need a bigger power supply (as you noted) and you will probably need a bigger case to pack all those goodies into. I recently went for the brass ring and sprung for the GTX 780ti. The card is a physical monster. It is literally the size of a foot long 2 x 6 and weighs in at 30 ounces! Imagine that in your laptop. I could have fit it into my 8 year old Antec case but I would have had to take the tin snips to the drive bay frame to make it fit.
  14. The contents of the library catalogs are pro-rated depending on the market share of the respective operating systems.
  15. LOL! Hey, I resemble that remark.
  16. Sure I'm joking. Isn't that what the "wink" and "grin" are all about?
  17. Wow! Now I see what everybody is talking about when they point out how helpful everyone on this forum is. And Perry, thanks for your generous offer.
  18. When I purchased my spread here the main house was in the middle of a major (non-permitted) remodel. I asked the owner (a sweet old lady) if there were some plans of the project so I could see what she had envisioned for the project. She assured me she had some plans and that she would dig them up for me. Well, here's the plan. Floor Plan Drawing.pdf
  19. Waasup D. Scott? No update? Are you going to leave us all hanging? How did the call to the cable company go? Is Dawn sleeping with the fishes? Let me guess, to make up for it they gave you a dedicated fiber optic line run on a six inch diameter cable. Now when you hit the download button all of Southern California temporarily drops off the grid. Just wondering....
  20. So.... what you are saying is that it finally "Dawned" on you that you have a crappy internet hook-up?
  21. Thanks for posting those results Curt. That's just the info I was looking for when we visited this topic a while back. If I have to go satellite (for the dwellings too far from the road for cable) I could live with 6 Mbps but definitely not less than 1 Mbps. I'm still bickering with the powers that be at Charter to get them to run a couple of hundred feet of hardwire to an existing telephone pole on the property so I can get the same cable modem service which I receive at the house near the main road. Up front there I am paying for 30Mbps service so I guess I should be happy pulling 66+ Mbps.
  22. Intel motherboards have a setting you can access in the BIOS to select the "primary video adapter". You can select "internal graphics" and you will be using the onboard graphics from the motherboard, or you can select "external PCIe graphics" and you will be using whatever video card you have plugged into your motherboard.
