Floor truss displays at incorrect height on cross section
DRAWZILLA replied to jlctspaces's topic in General Q & A
floor trusses are manually inserted ,so you need to select them all and use transform / replicate to raise or lower them or just delete them ,change the floor height and re-do.- 6 replies

Raised Foundation and Garage Slab? How To?
DRAWZILLA replied to HumbleChief's topic in General Q & A
I was just trying to do it automatically, you can just offset the footing in the garage to match the stem wall also automatically., isn't that better then workarounds? There does come a time when you need to shut off auto foundations and manually fix but not in this simple design. -
Raised Foundation and Garage Slab? How To?
DRAWZILLA replied to HumbleChief's topic in General Q & A
good thing b/c you really don't need any workarounds anyway for this condition, but there are other conditions that you will need the invisible wall, not sure why you are getting the sill. -
I think anyone would need more time

Here is my take on it very simple -
Raised Foundation and Garage Slab? How To?

You can just make that stem wall invisible. -
Raised Foundation and Garage Slab? How To?
DRAWZILLA replied to HumbleChief's topic in General Q & A
It can be done very easily automatically to late now but will do in the morning, unless Michael's video did it for you. I think what you are talking about is when a slab butts into a raised foundation then it lowers the stem wall down to the slab height. -

Larry, you were ignoring the "Stem wall top (C) section which would be at -18 to give you a 6" stem wall -
No, watch Larry's video above, that's what I do.

How Would One Learn the Nuances and Details of X9's New Features?
DRAWZILLA replied to HumbleChief's topic in General Q & A
I downloaded the final version with the new key and it doesn't say Beta anymore -
I do know that sometimes Chief won't cut the 2x12 enough so they cut through the ceiling. Been trying to get that fixed for a long time. Hips too.

I have been using the cad detail of the existing under the remodeled floor plan, so when you remove a wall or window ,it shows from the background automatically , no conflict with this method.

X8 - 3D Connexion Mouse Hard To Control On Zoom
DRAWZILLA replied to HumbleChief's topic in General Q & A
make sure you are using the drivers for that device and not the generic one Microsoft gives you. -
I wonder if he drew this plan in another version also.

outside main layer is correct
-
I say the outside face
-
I put my interior and exterior walls on separate layers in the defaults, so I can turn off interior walls on the reference layer and don't show them. I also draw the reference layer first so the walls cover the reference layer.
-
Haven't seen that one and couldn't even do it if I wanted. It's even showing thru walls
-
When I downloaded and installed X9, the word Beta is gone, so it might be the final version until the 1st update.
-
Sorry about that, didn't even think about those renting. When I say current SSA, I was assuming paid for this year not until Feb. 15th.
-
anyone that has current SSA can download

.Scott, thanks for including me, because I'm always there. Joe's header macro is my fav, works great for me, and it's automatic once set up-no changes after. It also works in the schedule's automatically., Saves a lot of time for me
