  1. Can you click on the box window and then click on ungroup icon? It was a few months ago, but I think that was how I did it.
  2. How about closet shelf with rod terminating into angled wall?
  3. Not sure if it was the beta version when I did the flip. Either way, I got it to work. I will do a quickie flip and check X9.
  4. I just reflect about of a townhouse and everything seemed to go okay... except for the electrical. I group erased all the screwed up electrical in the new unit and reflect about the electrical seperately... seemed to work okay that time. Is this normal?
  5. Don't forget to delete your X8 start up icon and replace it with the X9 icon on the taskbar.. That one got me...
  6. Some areas where I've built homes included the basement in the total living area, others, only if it is finished. Some places, only above grade area counted.
  7. Is there a way to set treated sill plates in the default different than the rest of the stud material so it shows automatically as treated material in 3D without having to paint all the plates in 3D?
  8. I like that disclaimer, Charles. Thanks!
  9. Larry, be sure to ask the brain trust you have there framing this truss house how they plan to insulate and drywall that vaulted ceiling area on that end truss. ;-) Do I need to make a video on how to frame a gable wall in a vaulted ceiling area? j/k
  10. Why do you need to post your plan on here? If the framers can't figure how to frame the gable wall, they shouldn't even be allowed on the jobsite.
  11. Why not eliminate the end truss and build a framed wall? You will have to do that anyways to insulate and finish the interior of the end wall.
  12. Couldn't you just use a soffit for that?
  13. What difference does it make? Once had young couple change their mind on a floorplan after they signed on a 1900 sf house with 2 car attached. She stated there should be no difference in price just because they changed to a 2800 sf with a 3 car attached.. True story! Another time, I had an engineer threaten to sue because his sf did not equal the contract sf. He only counted interior room space. Measuring from drywall to drywall in each room, he subtracted all interior partion footprint. btw, I have never see the building dept, tax assessor, appraiser's or realtor's square footage total equal my sf.
  14. It's not everyday I meet a bernie supporter in the business world. nstaafl
  15. I have had this happen to me on numerous occassions. Sometimes, I could get it to work again by zooming in, other times I had to close out of view and get new camera.
  16. cube, that sounds like a wonderful concept. Why don't you design a CAD program and then give it away for free? You will be rich beyond your wildest dreams in no time at all, I would bet. You do realize that if you don't like CA's marketing strategy, you don't have to buy it... unlike obamacare...
  17. LMAO, cube1us, you do realize Dermot is the principal software engineer at CA. I would guess he might know what is "under the covers" as for marketing... what kind of car do you drive? And why?
  18. Will this also work on exterior views by having the camera spin around a set point?
  19. I was just looking to see what the difference was for you because I too, remember reading about the new gable roof tool in X9
  20. What was the right answer for you?
  21. Do people who live in houses with zero to five foot setbacks actually expect to find some kind of privacy? I lived on a ten acre lot that backed up to over 44,000 acres of state land... and I still had my neighbor calling me to ask what I was working on in my backyard. Was it Davy Crocket who said he felt crowded by his neighbors when he could see the smoke from their chimney?
  22. I think they addressed the privacy issue in this brand new house I saw yesterday.... by putting blinds in all the windows of the blue house.
