  1. I would strongly suggest annotating in plan, and getting in the habit of that. As you become more proficient with the software, it will become apparent. Especially when you start utilizing macros for redundant information. A great deal of automation can be introduced when annotating in Plan.
  2. Could be a very high possibility that you are opening a Migrated Residential Template I would encourage you to try again with current drivers Also encourage resetting all nvidia profiles. I have 6 machines running X-13 without a problem now.
  3. Sometimes, if you have a pdf or image underlay/overlay, and you move or it delete it, you will find that all of the leaders were actually attached to that image/pdf
  4. To the people that are having crashes, I mentioned this early on. Are you crashing using a brand new, non-migrated X-13 OOTB template? i haven’t had a single crash since changing to a new template, and it’s been months and months that I’ve been on it.
  5. Not a problem to tackle this for you and even improve on the presentation or improve your systems approach to design/drafting. Also, eric who posted above is a solid source for work.

  7. If the material class is transparent, it wont matter what color you made the material. Switch to general material with transparency. As far as NKBA, either adjust your dim defaults or adjust your shower wall designation.
  8. You could do this with 3d moldings, but, I'm very curious why it would be a problem to cross wires. Are you referring to data lines that can't be in proximity to electrical? Are you actually referring to exposed unshielded nm cable in conditioned space? This is a code violation
  9. Quite a few problems in this plan. It would take a while to go through them all, so if they are working for you I would just say carry on. I didn't run into greyed out designations in floor defaults:
  10. Can you please explain in detail what you are doing that would lead you to a greyed out value? It really is a bad habit to start editing room heights separate from the overall floor height
  11. You can always select marquee similar and select marquee all. Much better to adjust your floor definition in defaults though.
  12. could think of a few methods.. Ca you provide a detail for how it should look in CS?

  15. Watch a pre-recorded version as it was LIVE- streamed on FB and YT. My first attempt at solving all of the issues on the Q&A Forums First page For Feb 11 This is Episode 2 in the series
  16. First off, you have your roughness set to 100%? whereas 0 would be "shiny" but moreover, change your material class to Transparent
  17. This is already in the tile builder...maybe, scroll down in your menu?
  18. An old habit, I have to make a post and then go back and re-edit it(the way my brain works) but you guys beat me to it. I have a text box with a macro. I want that macro to report the value for a layer of a reference object via a leader. If no leader exists, then I would like it to report the layer of the text box that it is contained in. This method works...but why? why does the referenced layer supersede the owner? Is this an order of operations that is constant?
  19. I have a condition where I want a variable to report a referenced layer name, but if no reference exists, report its own layer name. Any help is greatly appreciated
  20. I think I spoke to an owner/owner rep last year that was interested in retaining my services. I submitted a resume, strictly freelance and could guarantee a number of jobs per quarter through my company.
