Nancyhrd
I do designs for a builder who has x5 and x7 (I just upgraded to x8), if I have x8 and share my drawings with someone with x5 or x7 will they lose any parts of my drawings that don't exist in the prior versions? Thank you, Nancy
country
They will not be able to open your drawings except with a viewer. Chief is not backwards compatible.
DavidJPotter
You can share as AutoCAD.dwg or dxf files or as PDF files or printed to paper but Cheih Architect Premier plan or layout files have never been able to share with older versions ever, it is just he way it is. AndyGump
Even I can't understand what I said in that last post. What I meant to say was that they (someone using and earlier version) will lose some of the information upon opening a plan from the latter version...but only lose about 100% of the information. It was a bad joke told poorly. Andy.
