  1. You should not, you simply did not know. There are an infinite number of things I don't know and I don't believe I am stupid. I let other people believe I am stupid. Hmmm...now that I think of it, there seems to be a lot of 'um too. Andy.
  2. If you need to legalize it I assume then that the house is already turned into two separate units, correct? There are some pitfalls to that that you need to take into consideration. Such as, the city may want you to remove some walls to verify framing and drywall, etc. Andy.
  3. HI Lynnette, send what you have so far so I can take a look and see what I may be able to do for you. Andy.
  4. Ya know, I looked all over (or so I thought) for that but couldn't find it. Thank you, Chopsaw. Andy.
  5. I am looking for any good techniques for creating a two-color tile pattern for flooring. Something very 50's retro. Red and white or black and white. Andy.
  6. I also have examples of the different grid patterns in separate rooms also. It is just not all that hard to do and I like the way the rest of Chief works. So there is that. Andy.
  7. Ah, I see now. You would like a tool for grids that would be easy to manipulate the entirety of the grid instead of doing one line at a time and multi-copy said line and have to trim at the edges, etc. I get it, I would like that too for sure. But that not being the case, I am pretty quick at laying the proper lines down using the 2D tools. It just doesn't take too long to do that but the other way would be welcome. Andy.
  8. I do a lot of commercial stuff that includes reflected ceiling plans, egress plans, floor plans, fixture plans, finishes, etc. What kind of thing do you want from a program when it comes to commercial stuff? I suppose any 2D program will "DO" commercial stuff, just put lines in where needed. I guess what I am asking is if you would be more specific about what you want Chief to do for you? Andy.
  9. See if these will work for you. x-as built-site plan.dwg x-as built-sect-elev.dwg x-as built-level 2 plan.dwg x-as built-level 1plan.dwg x-as grid.dwg
  10. Tell us more about this interesting Architectural program called Chief Architect. Interested Party.
  11. You live in Rancho Santa Margarita and I live in Lake Forest. You can get design services from really just about anybody in California. Andy.
  12. In Preferences, navigate to New Plans and pick the template Plan file you want to open for every new plan. Andy.
  13. As Perry mentioned, the walls CAN be changed/modified depending on the Title 24 Part 6 calculations. I know as I also do performance calcs. Andy.
