wall specs

Hi 

 

Somehow I managed to bring this up while working on a wall in my plan, but I have no idea what I did to activate it or what this view is called. I’m assuming it’s some type of wall schematic.

Can someone tell me what it is, how I activated it, and whether it’s something I should be using when preparing plans?

I’d like to understand what I stumbled across rather than just close it and move on!

Most likely you selected a room, not a wall.  That appears to be the room dialog structural panel.

Are you using a plan created by someone else? That looks like a labeled section. If you didn't create it, it shouldn't be there. Or I am missing something B I G in the software that auto labels wall sections.

CA has some cad details that ship with the program.  They are not plan specific.  You might have opened one of those by accident.

Yeah, it's probably either a saved cad detail or cross section that was already annotated.  It could always be something else like just a cad block, picture or pdf but I don't think the program generated it automatically.

 

You can often tell what kind of view it is by the tab at the top of the window.  The small graphic will tell you what type of view it is and the name of the view should also give you a clue.  You can also open up the project browser and the program will use a different graphic for any saved views that are opened.

 

If you still can't figure it out, then you should post the plan.

I imported a plan  PDF from the  builder to make changes somehow when i activated this section  by accident when making wall dimention chnages
