deck framing not rebuilding

so I saw this yesterday and then redrew the deck to fix it, but now it has happened again today.

I was resizing the joists in the deck from 2x10 to 2x8, and now it looks like this, with the joist protruding through the deck boards.

Anyone else seen this?

xsec shows the rim board dropped properly

I thought maybe it had to do with this setting, but even if it does, how does one "fix it" now, as changing it doesnt seem to do anything even if I resize now to 2x6

changed to 2x6 and now it is worse

I tried rebuilding all framing, no luck

I could just lower them all manually, but really there must be a way to get them to move, without having to redraw the deck

I don't think deck framing rebuilds with any of the other framing.  You could try rebuilding the deck framing manually.  Just select the deck room and look for the deck framing button.  Not sure why it wouldn't rebuild automatically though.  May want to report to Chief.

even if I pull back a deck wailing wall and change the size, it is keeping the joists in the same position. if I lower the room floor in abolsute elevation, they still jsut stay there. I think CA thinks I have "retain deck framing" on, even thought it is off....but odd it is only the joists

if I delete the the entire deck room, they are still there:

That behavior has been a mystery for me for quite a while.  I often end up with uninvited pieces of framing even though auto framing is on, especially with roofing. I've learned to manually delete those and force a rebuild after.
