I'm trying to draw a skirt roof but the fascia is not showing, see screenshot. Any ideas? I just updated to X14 so not sure if this is a glitch? I've never had issues with this in the past using older versions!

Hi Joey - I don't use the auto roofs, I just draw them manually with "roof plane". What do you mean by "full return" is that an option in the settings I need to uncheck? I just tried deleting and re-drawing but same thing is happening. I also just tried on the other side of the garage, same thing but also weird it worked fine by the porch. See screenshot (very rough right now).

@EmmaCox - You should be able to use auto roof return. This option is in the wall edit dialogue. See screen clip.
I can't comment on whether this "glitch" is due to the plan being started in a previous version...but, a simple roof return as you show in your screen clip should work in X14.

I believe since you are not using auto roofs that you may have to remove all roofs and redo it.  I would start with the roof planes adjacent to these and see if it fixes.  What Joey is referring to with full return is an option for that wall you can select that allows auto roofs to build that function.

I don't use the program to it's fullest capacity

You should consider using Auto Build for Roofs , it will generally get you 65-85% of the Way there and then turn it off and make your Changes/fixes as needed.

It is worth setting up the RWDs ( Roof Wall Directives ) and any pitches not at the default Auto Build pitch as needed 1st though....

Hi Mick - I will give it a try, thank you!
Also thanks Joey and Ryan, your input was helpful!

There are quite a few Free Videos on Roofs and also a lot of info in the KB in the form of Short Tutorials on Roofs ,

I always let Auto do it's thing 1st, get it as close as possible on Auto and in a 3D Camera do a check ( select Wall change directive as needed),

then turn off AutoBuild and finish it up.

New upgrade to X15 had a great upgrade to floor trusses. Now I can lose my 3.5" wide joist place holders to keep my Material Lists accurate.

What I could use to compliment this is the same truss on the rake. I design a lot of homes with at least some portion vaulted and the only way to make the top of windows match the pitch on the interior and exterior is to have the roof and the ceiling be the same pitch as well.

For my final plans I call out parallel cord trusses. Basically this is a floor truss pitch up to match the rake. Does anyone know if Chief is capable of such a maneuver?

      Thanks to the Group,

How do I go about putting a roof on this round room only?  I've watched the related video and done some searching on line.  When I use the Build Roof Planes and try to retain manually drawn roofs (which all other roof planes are) CA puts auto roof planes on top of all the other roof planes.

I can't figure out why my walls are not meeting the roof.
I run into this a lot and usually finagle walls by puling on their handles etc but changing from gable wall to hip wall etc seems to make no difference in how the wall acts.
I just want them to act like when I first drew them where they just automatically connect with the roof.

I'm having a problem getting a deck to remain when I try to contain it under a roof.  The function of the roofs to the covered deck are to make a covered walkway to the covered deck.  I didn't know where to begin searching for this issue so I'm posting this.

The attached screenshot shows where I'm able to get the roof and deck to look right (4'-1") and where the deck room conflicts with the roof (4'-0").  Ideally, I would make these both 4'-0".  When I try to adjust the deck rail in or out from the back of the house (shown at 4'-0") the deck disappears.

I have attached the .pln file.  Any advise is appreciated.
