Quartzite counter showing dark

Anyone up and able to give me some advice on getting this Quartzite imported material(second screen shot) to look more like the slab (first screen shot) I've taken it from? Third screenshot is my Library material.

Have you placed any additional light sources? Also, what are the settings for your material properties?

Try adjusting the color of the material to a lighter shade of grey and make sure it's set to "Blend with Texture"

Will get richer colors if you adjust the brightness in a photo editor than using blend. two version below, image files attached. Forgot as these have lights overhead (as aluded to by Eric)

I would say, considering that the slab was taken with a professional light setup for marketing purposes, that chiefs representations is probably pretty accurate. Otherwise what other's have said will work

It is so awesome that y'all are out there and willing to help— my gratitude extends!

I do not have any included light sources and know that's an issue. 

Mark, thank you so much for the zip! I'll work with them and attempt adding a light source.

I thought I was fired by these clients and then they call with an emergency — life of a consultant!!

Proper lighting and material properties are key to a good rendering. Keep experimenting and you'll eventually land on the right combination.

The variation in light/dark your seeing in Chief may be the same variations that could occur in real life without looking right at the material with camera lighting (in your 1st pic).  To me they look identical....again, outside the variation you'd expect to see dependent on lighting.  If you do artificially lighten the material, and its going to be that sensitive to the client, you might actually represent the wrong tone once its placed in the actual kitchen.
