mountaineer
Is there a way to edit what auto dimensions locate? I'd like to use the tool but don't need so many dimensions on my plan. I just want the important ones. Otherwise the plan gets overrun with dimensions.
JJohnson
Randy, if you mean is there a setting for auto dims that will limit the number of dimension strings it produces, I do not think so. You have to delete the ones you do not need. Especially with interior dims, when there is a line for every wall in every room, plus openings etc.
mountaineer
Thank you. I was afraid of that. I searched all of the threads and found nothing. It would be nice if we could just lock our temporary dims where we want them. Thanks for your help.
BenPalmer
when ready to produce final docs, just turn off the auto refresh and delete the ones you don't want. Or don't use auto and draw what you want manually.
Kbird1
If you limit the Minimum (Room) size on the General Tab of the Auto Dim. Defaults to 40 or 50 sqft , I have found it is less cluttered ...try playing with that setting and the Undo Button and see if that works.... How about, change auto dimensions color to red, select the ones you wish to keep, move them to manual dimensions layer and then turn off auto dimensions (Drawing before turning off auto dim.s)
raltd9245
Very cumbersome, problem should be fixed
Joe_Carrick
Most of that can be set in the Defaults>Dimensions>Auto Dimensions (Exterior & Interior). "Locate Objects" Anything you don't want you can just drag the extension line off of the object.
