Dimensions to reference floor

Recommended Posts

How can I dimension from a reference floor wall to my current floor in X9?  I want to be able to offset the walls in 6'

Thanks

 You can't.

Posting an image or 3 would make this clearer.

You can always draw a CAD line on the referenced floor, copy it to another floor and dimension to it.

Shift to the reference floor and do a point to point dimension. Select it, ctrl x move to the other floor ctrl alt v and one of the dimension is where you want it

Great video Michael.

Spcially I like the option that makes use of the "cad to wall" tool. You have explored an other speedy workflow.

Another way is to change your Grid Snap setting to 6'.

You can then just drag the wall and it will move in 6' increments.
