mrrozhall
Hello all. I'm trying to achieve the sloped/angled wall like in the pic. The angle wraps around the columns as I've seen this house in person. I've been able to design it in the front view of my two columns, however, I'm unsure how to do it with the side walls. My X8 plan is attached for reference. Any thoughts, pointers are always appreciated. Thx Roz Sloped Wall.plan
Kenoeightspot
Use a Moulding polyline or "Solids".
mrrozhall
Thanks for the reply William. Do you mind posting your plan so I can see exactly how you did this? I'm a bit of a novice. So your plan will help me learn. Thx Sir
johnny
Here you go - https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00166/creating-a-custom-molding-profile.html The principle between making a custom interior finish molding is the exact same as the method to make this external cladding detail. Chopsaw
Which one is the best William as I think the Molding Polyline is out. I cant make it work as in the example.
Kenoeightspot
To create the slope on just two sides I used a "slab". In elevation copy the slab, rotate and subtract, repeat for the other side. Another way is "Solids" I have attached the "Solids" plan. Yes, I asked this question months, and thus since got it working for the front view wall. My current post is for the side walls as well since it seems a bit of a different technique.
