joeimyc 0 Posted November 7, 2016 I am in the preliminary stages of designing an addition to a small church. The style of the church is Ukrainian Byzantine. I am using CAX8 and am finding it a great software for design and 3D modeling. I need to maintain an architectural style of Ukrainian Byzantine Churches. I need to do a Byzantine style cupola. It is not the same as Russian cupolas which some might think. Russian cupolas are more "garlic bulb" form. Ukrainian Byzantine can be more "onion bulb" form. The base of the cupola can be square or octagonal, but the top needs to be rounded and "onion bulb" like. Any suggestions? Thanks for your anticipated assistance in this challenge. MarkMc 541 Posted November 7, 2016 pline, then pline solid, solid, faces, rotate, solid subtraction, repeated transform replicate (copy rotate), p to p move. Might want to save first plines to convert to molding lines- really don't know what this needs to look like but you said onion. Have no idea how to get framing Bet someone shows you how to do it with a couple of roofs
JJohnson 51 Posted November 7, 2016 Might be easier to convince the congregation to convert to a religion that has simpler building designs and symbols.
