  1. I dated my Mac Pro and MacBook Air to the free OS upgrade Yosemite 10.10, I also updated my iPhone 5. The good news is, everything works very well. So far, there is no bad news. I use the Apple software - Numbers and Pages on the Macs and my iPhone. The update to iDrive went smoothly. iDrive is a free upgrade to iCloud. BootCamp and Windows7 also works well. Of course Chief Architect also works. I didn't find and update for Apple TV nor Apple Time Capsule. If you're going to update to Yosemite, allow time, probably an 30 min. to an hour and of course back up first. After Yosemite installs, check for more updates
  2. I email drawings, invoices, scanned photos and many other files as .pdf Even the most inept computer users are able to open them.
  3. I've built a wall on the deck and placed flush wall mounted lights one it. Use the mouse and move the light fixture from the wall to the rail post. Then delete the wall. The problem is trying to spin it 180º
  4. Double click the sink to open the dialog box. Change the Floor to Bottom dimension to lower it. You may need to also slide it to the front of the cabinet
  5. Edit > Default Settings > Dimensions > Dimensions >1:25 Dimensions > Edit Change mm to ft-in Set the rest of the settings like fractions, uncheck thousandths etc. OK > Done You may also need to rest the 1:50 Dimensions
  6. I didn't have any problems with it. I moved walls and door using the dimensions.
  7. Any video editing program can do it. I prefer Sony Vegas Pro but a simple program like Sony Vegas Movie Studio will work. Other programs are Apple iMovie, Adobe Premier, Adobe Premier Elements. The reason I prefer Vegas Pro is that it will accept just about any format of video, still photographs and sound that you throw at it. You can also use a Microphone to record. You can make a DVD or Blu Ray disc. You can also post it to Utube, Vimeo, FaceBook or send it to an iPhone or your web site.
  8. If your box is filled with CAD, how is there any room for brick?
  9. Lengthen the overall duration.
  10. Open the Wall Cabinet specifications. Front > check Drawer / Drawer Overlay > Vertical Overlap = 2" Face Items > select the door which is probably #2 > Move Down
  11. Of all the ones I've done, I like this one the best.
  12. I don't have an answer for you but I'd love to have a Wacom monitor. I been using Wacom tablets for years and presently use an Intous 5 Touch. Almost ever time I've had an odd problem with my Mac, updating the Wacom driver or waiting for a new driver has fixed it. I'd contact the tech department of Wacom first and then CA tech assistance.
  13. Dishwashers go into a 24" base cabinet. Simply put a 24" base cabinet at the end, place the dishwasher in that cabinet. The end panel is automatic. If you want the end panel to be finished or with a fixed door, specify that in the dbx of that end cabinet.
  14. On my Mac Pro, the 3D redraws were very fast. I even placed the pool inside the house just to see what would happen.
  15. Don't use a corner cabinet, use an angled cabinet. Decide if you want one long cabinet to the right or two cabinets as I've shown in my previous post #9 Using two cabinets will allow you to adjust the toe space Revised plan attached corner_closet.plan.zip
  16. What if you make your filler cabinet look like #4.jpg and make it full depth?
  17. I want to thank every one for your help. I was able to get it to work. At first I couldn't click & drag. I found you have to drag the handle at the rear of the chimney. Placing the fireplace before you build the foundation shows a footer for the chimney. As you said, dragging the chimney up in 3D view took it through the roof. Thanks again everyone.
  18. I'm glad someone else remembers the early days of Chief or maybe it was 3-D Home Architect, the very early days. I know it worked at one time because I was always amazed by it. I'll try you method. Thanks for you help
  19. Just be aware that to program and label the keys takes a couple of hours
  20. Thanks Perry, May it was pre-Chief, which would have been 3D Home Architect. Oh well, I'll do it like you suggest.
  21. Interesting, it works on both my Mac Pro and MacBook Air.
