  1. Thank You so much, I never thought to look at the number of lights turned on for Full Overview. Full Camera my default is 100
  2. This is in X15, I've been using CA since version '97. In the 3D Physically Based rendering, the one recessed over the single garage door and the far right , barely show up. All the others look as I would expect. I've tried several adjustments to the Light Data, I also tried installing a ceiling plane under the soffit. I just can't figure it out. I've attached the Zipped plan. I appreciate your help. RWS149K zip.zip
  3. 1500 samples is very good. 2500 is excellent. It depends on the speed of your video card.
  4. I have a one year old Liquid Cooled MSI gaming computer with NVIDIA 3080ti video card. It was overheating and shutting down running X14. I removed the Liquid Cooled and installed all fan based cooling. I haven't had a problem since then.
  5. I agree, I'm having a terrible time finding the simple things that I use everyday.
  6. I don't do panel schedules in CA. They are not required for permits. I make them when I wire the panels.
  7. I use Good Sync which is software only. It backs up my entire Documents folder plus several otter Folders like X15 Data and Libraries. It also backs up thousands of photos and hours of video., including QuickBooks and all my invoices It can backup from several internal or external drives on the computer. It backs this all up to My Cloud Expert Series EX2 Ultra containing two - 6TB solid state drives. The second 6TB drive mirrors the first one using Raid 1. With the My Cloud, I can open any of theses files on my iPhone using the My Cloud app. I can also open them on any internet connected computer. This may sound confusing but once it's setup, it's easy to backup. Files are backed up to two SSD drives in the My cloud. So if the computer fails, I have two copies
  8. Creating Electrical schedules requiring AFCI breakers can cause problems. The NEC, National Electric Code, gives the final decisions to the "Authority Having Jurisdiction"which is the local Electrical Inspector. Different States and local Municipalities have adapted different version of the most recent code. Some are up to date, some use the code from three years ago and some haven't updated for six years. Some of the posted schedules in the this thread would not pass the most current version of the NEC. An example locally is, one inspector requires kitchen refrigerators to be AFCI/GFCI protected without exception. Another local inspector uses common sense and says "No, It's going to trip and ruin all the food, then ice is going to melt and cause water damage"
  9. I haven't used it long enough to really test it.. From the few hours I've use it, I had no problems.
  10. Download Complete. X15 Open and running. Testing RTRT now
  11. I was a loyal Mac user since 2004. I alway owned Mac Pro towers snd the recent trash can. I have a new MacBook Pro. Last year I bought a PC Desktop for X14 and QuickBooks. The reason was, Physically Based Rendering (PBR). I have X14 on both the PC and Mac. I sign out and switch when I want to, but mostly use the PC. The PC is MSI Aegis RS with NVIDIA 3080Ti video card and 32GB RAM, Two 2TB NVMe SSD"s It's very fast for PBR.
  12. I created a drawing with one wall and electrical Items attached to it, or nearby like ceiling lights. I used text to label each one I saved it and inserted it into page 0 of my layout.
  13. I switched from Mac to PC in February 2022. I downloaded the Windows version of X14, Every file was compatible. I did download and update my Library though. I did because I wanted to use Physically based renderings. I ordered a PC with a NVIDIA 3800Ti. It's very fast.
  14. Personally, I would save the money and get the NVIDIA 3080 Ti with 12 GB. Mine works very well and is very fast.
  15. Here's what I was taught in Graduate School Architectural Design: The Mansard roof, started in the 1600’s in France. It was named after the architect François Mansart. It resulted from a tax evasion scheme where property owners were taxed by the number of floors in their building below the roof line. The Mansard style of roof made the top floor liveable – and tax free. If it was shingled, it was a roof, not an additional floor.
  16. A little off topic but does anyone know why Mansard roofs were first created? I do, I let you know after your comments.
  17. I filed a RMA with MSI for replacement.
  18. My has fans front, back and top. So it was just the liquid cooling that failed. The case is cool.
  19. I also have a 3080 Ti, but it has its own cooling system. I should get the computer back tomorrow. Good to know you can confirm possible liquid cooling problems.
  20. My MSI Desktop, eight month old, shut down without warning. It wouldn't turn back on. I waited 15 min and it booted up. I check internal temperatures and the CPU was 98º C, so I shut it down. I took it to a local computer medic and he said the cooling system failed. It is water cooled. He said water cooling was a good idea but he's seen plenty of them fail. He's installing an air cooled system. Labor & material = $100. So if you're ordering a new machine, you may want to save the extra money and avoid liquid cooling of the CPU.
  21. My system is very quick. MSI CPU Intel Core™ i7-12700K 8P+4EC/20T 3.6-5.0 GHz 25MB Cache CHIPSET Intel® Z690 MOTHERBOARD MSI Z690 CPU COOLING Liquid 240 GRAPHICS NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3080 Ti 12GB GDDR6X MEMORY 64 GB DDR5 4800Mhz
