Mine generates per normal... BUT that section of the Skylight Dbx is also greyed out. Never paid attention to that before... I guess that comes into play only if there's a flat ceiling. In your first pic it looks like a hole is generating in the ceiling but not in the roof??

Do you mean 'plotter' specifically vs. 'printer' ? Pretty sure 'plotters' have gone the way of the dinosaurs. You should still be able to use your paper with a wide format printer, but your ink pens will be history. HP T100 perhaps?

You could adjust the Bay window (or Bow window) units as needed... tab select to modify and move each window in the unit... then use p-solids at the sides of the opening to create corners. This will get you the look in 3D, but the framing opening will need to be done manually if you plan to show framing.

Picture or graphic of some sort would help, but I think you can just build walls the size of your coolers and put in a door 'opening' the size you need to fit the cooler in.
-
Because you're not following my instructions. You need to create a MATERIAL using that picture.
-
Well... I know one way, that is to make the stringer 'height below tread' really deep... like 8 or 9 feet until it disappears into the floor. But if you don't use vector view you wont see the line if you match materials and uncheck 'open underneath'

For bigger radii you can use pretty much any dimension type from the center of the arc/circle, but there's currently no way to tag a leader onto the arc and click on a macro to show the radius... ( unless one of the macro pro's knows a way? ) I asked about this ages ago. It's ridiculous that it's not available in a CAD program of this caliber. Suggest...

What kind of adjustments are you trying to make? You need to use Photoshop or Gimp to do any photo-editing if it's needed, prior to importing to Chief. The photo in your post looks already tileable so it should work without any special adjustments

Slab foundation wall extending up the whole side ot the house

Gosh... I guess that makes Frank Lloyd Wright an amateur. Not a bad book, but certainly not the be-all and end-all of architecture.

An expensive storage area
-
Sure, just right click in your User folder of the Library and go to New > Material and make a material using your picture... then you can paint it on the ceiling, or create a separate surface to put it on, whatever works best for you.

Same with me Perry... only really do dashed sub-grade foundation for basement projects
-
Yep... But then the above ground portions of the foundation are dashed too. Whether it's faster to draw over those bits with solid lines vs. hatched cad mask... depends on the view I guess.
-
Well... I solved the Plan view CAD issue. Was able to make a CAD block from a plan view CAD detail of a regular window, then was able to select that as the 2D block. However, so many other difficulties still plague the procedure it's just not worth the hassle.
-
Yep, I tried that too...hence I was thinking it might require deleting those surfaces and/or adjusting the bounding box size. That's the experiment I will have a go at later. ...and yep again...In order to create that window I posted, adjusting that cutout size is one of several things I had to do.

If you make a window symbol, under options there is a checkbox for 'System supplies rectangular casing', which I didn't explore much because it would've just put the sill in the same place as now... but it appears to me that if one were to create a window symbol without casing/sill and then used that checkbox it might behave more like hoped/expected. I may have a go at that tomorrow.

Ya, I know it's a Fixture instead of a Window... seemed to work better. Believe me I spent a lot of time monkeying around. I think Michael (Alaskan) also suggested somewhere it's better to use Fixture instead. You know me...I have to prove it to myself. As for inside out... it actually will go either way, just like putting in a door... you have to move your cursor before you click to place it.
-
Dang... very frustrating... you're pretty much right. After I got the modified sill on there and converting it into a new symbol everything goes to hell... the size changes, it looses all kinds of functionality, the wall cut-out goes wacky, etc.. After tons of messing around I kinda sorta can get it to work, but it's definitely not worth the effort. Having done several doors and having frequently seen the 'window' option in the make symbol dbx it seemed like it would be pretty easy. Almost wonder why they even have the window option in the make symbol dbx. Anyway..FWIW Sweeney... here's the window... maybe you can use it. Window_Dbl Hung_Sill Mod.calibz

While not the immediately quickest solution... if you are doing this frequently it'll pay off in the long run if you make your own modified window symbol.

Windows Snipping Tool is an easy way to make a quick JPG to post in the forum. But yes, it looks like your ceiling is indeed leaking out of the building. You'll almost certainly need to post your plan to get a solution, but my guess is it has something to do with your attic walls and/or possibly a room divider.

I am hoping that they will soon incorporate tying different toolbar setups to SPV's as well.
-
Ya, Dermot apprised us of that yesterday. The option doesn't show when accessing from the toolbar so we didn't notice it.
-
I was late to the SPV party since I had the Annoset system down pat and felt the exact same as you. Now having spent a little extra time setting them up (that's the hurdle) there really is no difference in time to to switch... it's same as switching between Annosets. If you use your Annosets to set up your SPV's then the extra time is minimal but there-in is the power, because there are some extra things that you can (if you so desire) have pre-arranged when you switch your SPV vs. an Annoset.

I was just looking at the walls lined up per the pic above. Now looking in 3D I see you'll also need to define that the upper walls "Build Platform to" setting goes to the insulation layer so your wall closes up between floors
