  1. Jenny, call Sales during their office hours and they can then give you something other than opinions. DJP
  2. Alb files will import, using the Library Import command under "Library" DJP
  3. David Michaels of California has already created such a library: http://www.dmd3d.com/free.html DJP
  4. If settings "fail" then you can always manually adjust the wall poly-lines so they will match. This is best done in a cross section camera for finer control. In the final analysis, it is you who is in control and only you who is responsible for outcomes, just make it happen by whatever means. DJP
  5. Relative to Terrain? Look at the "Terrain Specification Dialog - Building Pad input box", if you mean something else, post an image or plan copy and be more specific please. DJP
  6. I can tell from your posted image that your stated settings are not being complied with, so other settings are in arguement with what you want to achieve. Carefully check all relevant settings including those default settings that would directly effect your outcome. DJP
  7. Please post a copy of your plan and layout files or at least a screen capture of what you are seeing. The last time I had to solve this kind of thing was for a client who still uses X2, there was a problem with his template plan and layout file that was causing the annoying outcome in his case. DJP
  8. I upload 3DS files to Sketchfab where anyone with a browser can then view the 3D model. IT is a free service. DJP
  9. Saying that software "did not allow" is kind of a cop out (you order and control the software, not the other way round). Did you try the dimension tool that creates its own dimension points? Dimensions in a wall detail have nothing to do with dimensions in plan or elevation view. In Default Settings - Dimensions you can control their font and size but in terms of where they go is up to you. DJP
  10. You can turn off that named layer in Display Options or redraw over the wall. DJP
  11. The third poster, I believe was referring to the OP and not to me. The OP has since removed his original post leaving the thread incomplete. Apparently he is not a Chief Architect User and just looking to freeload is all. DJP
  12. It sounds like you require additional Architectural services but are unwilling to exchange with a design professional further to obtain your desired results (that is how it seems to me from reading your post). I and others here like to work directly with our clients to make sure they get exactly what they want (a custom home is a Lifetime important proposition). That is why I charge by the hour because house design is a process which includes trial and error versions until the perfect house is achieved and proper exchange for professional services is the traditional way of our society. This forum has the purpose of end users helping other end users of Chief Architect Premier software, are you an end user? If so, what version of Chief Architect Premier do you use? If you want free service, you have come to the wrong trough to drink from, if you are a software user please state what your software is and post a copy of your plan file please. No one owes you their help. DJP
  13. Here is how I would do it: https://youtu.be/4SlhvqqQZus DJP
  14. I do, I also have versions 7 and 9.5 running in Windows XP x32. Sorry, I did-do not have any trouble installing it and its libraries, sorry you are having trouble. I was never able to get it installed in Windows 7, that is why I hung on to XP for old, legacy software. DJP
  15. You need to better define what you mean when you say "right way" please. On inspection you have the main ceiling set to "Finished Ceiling=191 1/4" and the walls you are complaining of are programmed to "balloon frame through", with those settings, that is what you told the software to do. It has mechanically followed your commands and now you are are complaining that it has done so. I don't get it. DJP
  16. There are settings in the Pony Wall dialog box that control how the pony wall sections align one to the other. Carefully look that dialog and its settings over to find the correct one for your purposes. DJP
