  1. Well, the time you spent creating the image showing the problem and the time you spent typing these posts, you could have done it using solids. Just a thought. I have done this many times and it really doesn't take that much time.
  2. You could always do a polyline solid in an elevation. Shape it as you like at the bottoms.
  3. That's a huge roof pitch change. Generally when I make a big roof pitch change and even change the framing size, I delete that roof plan, make correct changes and redraw the roof plane. Reconnect all necessary roof planes. Most of my roofs are done manually.
  4. I hate to say this because often it's not a popular answer but if you learn how to draw roofs manually and understand how they work, you can usually make the roof work fairly easily.
  5. That's exactly what I do when I have some invisible walls that I want to show.
  6. Well, tech support got her going. They finally had to drag my file from the email to her desktop. Then she could open it in X11.
  7. Thanks for the replies. I'm waiting to hear what tech support told her. I'll pass this information on.
  8. I've sent 20MB files with Gmail a lot with no problems.
  9. File is under 4MBs. Compressed to a zip file is only 479KBs.
  10. I get what you show on the left by moving my mouse over it. She's not getting that. She's using a Mac. This should be real easy...don't understand.
  11. I emailed it as an attachment, not a link. I've never had this problem before...neither has she. I sent her both, a .plan file and a zip file. For some reason, she can't "save" the attachment.
  12. She says that when she right clicks, she can "save link". Don't think that's the same however I've never used that option.
  13. I think that's pretty much the problem. She can't find a way to save the attachment to her computer. It looks like the only thing she can do is click on the attachment and it's trying to open it with X10. She needs to be able to save the attachment.
  14. I think her problem is that Gmail is not letting her save the attachment. When she tries to save it, she's getting the error and it's saying she's using X10. When I'm on my gmail account, I can move my mouse over the attachment and it gives me the option to open or save. She says she's not getting that either. She can't open a plan file sent directly or zipped. She's calling tech support when they open.
  15. Waiting for her to send me the plan but the plan I sent is opening fine for me.
  16. I'm going to ask her to send me the plan I sent her and see if I can open it.
  17. Her friend is me, Tommy Blair. I'm not on the beta version meaning I don't have it (didn't know beta was in process). She sent me a plan to rework some walls and I sent it back. I told her tonight to try and shut down the computer and reboot to see if that helps. From what she says here, she apparently has the latest version (update) I guess. The main thing that came to mind with her getting a message that my version is a newer version would be that she hasn't done that latest update. I have worked on her plans sent to me in the past and have sent them back to her and she has been able to open them with no issues. I told her that if rebooting her computer doesn't work and she has the latest update that she needs to contact tech support. I have been helping her for several years.
  18. Can you open a plan that works fine? If so, you can edit that plan and save it as your profile plan. Then you can go into preferences and make that your profile plan when you "open new plan". You could also open your profile plan with normally will be in your My Documents folder under you Premier X3 folder in templates. It sounds like you need to fix or change your profile plan when opening a new plan. I would have to see what's going on by looking at your computer. I could help you online if you like. If interested, call me at 832-754-6160.
  19. Check your floor heights. Under foundation defaults, I believe you can turn that off.
  20. Talk to some contractors in your area.
  21. Try the cabinet tool or manufacturer libraries that you download from Chief's website.
  22. Very easy to create using the molding profile of the crown mold then simply add to it.
