You can download these from the symbol forum here at Chief.

Area rug symbols display on top of other furniture in plan view

Seems to work fine for me no matter which order I use. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the question? -
Most plan checkers in Houston will accept a shingled roof between 2:12 and 4:12 as long as you provide an Ice and Water Shield underlayment. You could also provide a torch down roof. Anything less than 2:12 can not be "shingled".

Rob, here in Houston, we mainly use monolithic slabs and pier and beam. If you like, send me an email (email below) and I'll send you details we use for mono slabs. Typically, the grade footing here is 24" to 27" depending on the engineer for a one story and 30" deep for a two story.

Eric is correct. In your initial picture you posted with the red circle, that is not a dormer. It's a raised roof.

You might want to get the Pro version and place rooms how you want with correct ceiling heights. Watch out for long open spans. If there's a second floor, try to figure out the (2nd. floor) floor system thickness. Once you have the basic layout, someone with the Premier Version could help.

I find it better to use .DWGs if possible....but Joey is right.

This is what I would recommend for a one time project.

Control/drag the shelf in place.

I did all three elevations and no problem.

I put in all the dishwashers and am not having that problem.

Ballen, the error message is probably right about an object that is far away from the plan. It might be so small that it's really hard to find it. Call my cell 832-754-6160 and I'll tell you a quick and easy fix for this.

Fixing to apply for retirement in January myself BUT will still be working. Have to sign up for Medicare too. Now I know I'm getting old but still ride my bike like I'm 40. Would like to slow down my workload but my engineer keeps sending me people.

Being able to put a break in the stairs to change the width where you want is huge for me and have been wanting this for years. Trey ceiling will be interesting to see what's that about but looks really good.

Great Version. Almost didn't upgrade but this one looks really good!

Anyone else go back to not using “saved plan views” anymore?
tommy1 replied to Michael_Gia's topic in General Q & A
I normally use anno sets. Once in a while I use saved plan views but don't need them very often. -
looking to purchase earlier version of CA

Watch out for those hack versions. I had a man call me last year for help. After finding that his program wasn't working right, he told me that he bought X10 for $40.00 online. His problem was that he didn't have any program updates and absolutely no textures so he was getting errors popping up continuously. Never heard from him again. -
Watch out for face counts of custom furniture you download.

They're very helpful when doing roofs manually. Louis Fernandez used to call it a laser tool for roofs.

Merry Christmas David and everyone. Going to work for a couple of hours on a plan today but take time off this afternoon for a bike ride. Should be a great day today...70s!

Give me a call. I will show you how I approach this. I have time this afternoon. My way is very easy. 832-754-6160.
