  1. Oops, don't forget the sill plate on the block wall. How about 13 courses and a 4x P.T. sill on top? Oops, is the block sitting on a slab or footings with a slab then poured between the block walls. I say let the electrician figure it out.
  2. FYI, there is no data in your posted files. You must first close the file and then post..... or close CA AND THEN POST.... pst the plan and I am sure you will get an answer.
  3. Yep, that would be my guess.... I think it should be set to 100.00
  4. I have not updated to the latest because I have seen several reports such as this. This is the first time I have not updated immediately. I think I will need to bite the bullet soon and update....... I hope it works out.
  5. This is so silly. You should not even need to ask the question....... but I get it...... the way CA works some of its text is a mystery. I might have have a text block I am looking at in its DBX, and it is a guess on how many tabs I need to line up with text above and the text below. I willl say the Alaskan son did a good vid on thiss a couple of weeks ago, but if I had to guess, his solution does not solve your issue. i hear your complaint.
  6. Well, if the floor elevations are not defaullt elevations, they willl not change. I apologize because I did not open your attached plan.
  7. Easy peasy, start with top floor and change the DEFAULT FLOOR ELEVATION, and then change DEFAULT FLOOR STRUCTURE. Then repeat for the next floor down etc., IMPORTANT, start with top floor and work your way down.
  8. No, do not be quiet, your voice helps all of us including CA, try not to be quiet, I think CA appreciates the criticism/help.
  9. Reset your tool bars.
  10. Is the problem your plan or your computer? I think you should post the plan, let someone compare it, if it is slow on our computer, then it is a CA//Plan issue. If it is not slow on our computer, it is your computer issue. That is where I would start. Is it a CA issue or is it your computer that is the problem?
  11. I changed nothing, I am using X-9, I doubt you could open plan if I posted it.
  12. My bad... you did have a ceiling plane. So I went ahead and drew the trusses, no problems
  13. You must have a ceiling to build a truss. You do not have a ceiling in the room.
  14. I do like this method also. Maybe not as quick (seconds).
  15. See pic, See blue marker, that is on PAGE ZERO, I point to point a corner of house to that blue marker for each PLAN VIEW. It does not snap but it is close enough for me.
  16. It did take awhile to download, but well worth it. I am lucky I do not need a grain elevator to download the file....... I think I saw a grain elevator 40 years ago when I was traveling through the great midwest..... do you guys really use those things?
  17. If I open the plan, do a marquis select, everything is selected including cameras, and I can then delete everything.
  18. The invisible wall method does not work. Try putting the wall you extended on its own layer and turn that layer off.
  19. I do it your way, i think it is the best way (cad detail), I have experienced the same issue, I would suggest making the layout box.......... HUUUUUGGGGGEEEEE!)
  20. Oh yes you outsource your tech support, it is done by us poor schlubs who do not have a life..... Glenn, Perry, Joe, Chop, Michael et al......
