  1. I am still confused. Put a roof on it and it might solve the problem. If you provide some kind of picture that shows what you want and a picture showing what you need, we might be able to figure out what you are doing wrong. I know you provided screen shots, but I still can't figure out the problem, sorry. Words describing the issue is never as clear as a very good picture of the problem.
  2. Come on Ron, post a simple little plan so we can see what you are talking about. I can't imagine the psolid not showing. Seriously, when a plan is posted with the problem we can all learn from the question. Bridge Troll signing out.
  3. Here is a vid. http://youtu.be/B_5qAN88w0c I did not understand what the problem was. The vid is nothing special, a novice may pick up a nugget. If I missed the problem, maybe saran wrap will be clearer on what the problem was.
  4. Michael, it is important to recognize the difference between the "post and go" Posters, and the posters who are really interested in learning something.
  5. Joe, next time my client has a lot wider than 50', I will. Hey, we are discussing minimums recognized by the presiding jurisdictions.
  6. BTW, 8' x 7' hi garage doors are very typical around here. 9' wide is an extravagance.
  7. Not an ideal size, but I have a friend who parks a Kia optima in her garage of that size every night.
  8. I would suggest you post the plan but you know that but I will take a stab at it. Possible reasons: hhmmmmmmmm 1. Did you drag wall up from bottom? 2. Is that a second floor wall that is defined as going thru floor? 3. Is there an invisible railing under that wall? Hey Glenn W., you got any guesses? P. my man, any guesses...... there has to be more possibilities......... maybe those walls are gable end walls and if you select the wall and define as ROOF CUTS WALL AT BOTTOM, that might fix it.
  9. I think you need to add to liberry sans frame.
  10. Geir Rosset.... his name is s pronounced GUY, Guy Rosset.... he is from Norway, so I am sure I did not get all of the umplats or whatever those funny things are in the correct location. I think our 2016 vacation is going to be to the Baltics, you know, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Russia, Brussels etc., they say that those folks in Finland, Norway and Sweden have some of the highest standards of living...... a bunch of happy folk out there...... we will check it out.
  11. Here is a vid. Nothing new for the pros. http://youtu.be/aQaVMn0cKI0
  12. And if you want to be a power user, the best vids to watch are the MRLS, SAM and ANNO SET vids at CHIEFTUTOR.com.
  13. There is no magic pill you can take to learn the program. It is a never ending process. You can pay someone to teach you or you can learn by doing. There are many free videos on the net plus the free videos CA provides. I would suggest starting with the free videos CA provides, they are free. You will learn something with each video you watch. Once you have watched the CA videos, (did I say they are free?) you can move on to watching other free videos, or by signing up with ChiefExperts or hiring any number of people on this website who offer on line instruction. Another great place to learn is by monitoring the website. There is no magic pill, just a lot of study. Just remember, there is no magic pill, it takes time.
  14. You know P., I give my clients 3 months notice, I remind them once a week, and it's usually no big deal. I turn things back to them in a couple of days usually, it's them that will disappear for a week or two at a time. Quite frankly, I don't even think they know I am gone. I try to load them up with a bunch of stuff, and by the time they get their stuff done, I am back and planning the next vacation. We are getting to the age now that we are realizing that we are mortal, and if we don't do this stuff now, we never will. We have our vacations planned out through 2018, at least the big ones. I hope you and Penny might join us in the South Pacific vacation in 2015. We will be doing it, we do not know who will go along for the ride with us, but we will be going.
  15. .... so I am at work, deep in concentration, trying to put together some plans of an existing structure that I have not seen first hand, no pictures, some sketches on a napkin when Lynn calls and says, "okay honey, I'm off to see the Grandkids, I'll be back Tuesday", quickly I try to pick up on what she is trying to tell me, Grandkids? Which ones? The ones in Idaho or the ones 30 miles North in Fallbrook, as I am trying to get my wits about me she say, " you remember, I told you I would not be back until Tuesday night". It must be the Fallbrook Gkids, she goes to see the Idaho Gkids in 3 weeks, a week before we take the trip across the pond. "Okay Babe, you have a good time, tell them I will miss them, I am sure they will miss me", she chuckles, they barely know I am alive. I swear, I think she said something at one time about seeing the Gkids, but I thought that was for a couple of hours, I did not realize she was moving out for 2 days. Do you guys ever here the immortal words, "Remember Honey, I told you about this 3 weeks ago?". In the 19 years I have been with Lynn, I have finally learned to act like I remember all the stuff she tells me. I always try to put a positive spin on these situations...... you think I am eating Medifast for the next two days? I think not, I'm off to the RBI for some real food.
  16. Beeohat, if it is any consolation to you, I too had a problem with the plywood sticking through the wall. I struggled with it for a long time. And then suddenly it fixed itself. I can't explain it. If you still can not fix it, please post the plan again and I will look at it again. I am very curious as to why it took me so long to fix it the first time.
  17. Here is a vid, can't explain it, took me forever to fix it the first time (if I did fix it), but it is fixed. Stupid vid, a waste of time, should not of taken as long as it did, but if it helps out Beeohat, it was worth the time. http://youtu.be/RMIqCPx7qdY
  18. Yes you did post the plan my apologizes. I will do a quick vid. These type of issues are always learning lessons for me. Thanks for the question, give me 30 minutes. BTW, don't get fooled by Perry, he knows every bit if not more than I.
  19. What is really interesting is when you suggest that they post a plan to help you answer their question, they ignore the suggestion and then ask another question. I just don't get it. I have decided to ignore these inconsiderate people...... except to stress their rudeness.
  20. Glenn, it is too much trouble to post a plan. I think it saves the OP a lot of time if it is YOU that muddles through his question without a plan. I just don't get why people are so inconsiderate. They expect help but they will not make it easy for you.
  21. Post the plan and I will do a quick vid. Many different ways of dealing with this.
  22. Think about it. How would you change it? What is defining the material? Probably via the wall definition. Maybe change the material on the wall?
  23. Thanks Rich, now I can do it your way, my way and with a coffee cup in my hand listening to the news. I don't know what was so hard abut it. BTW, I never had to use the wall connection tool, the walls auto fixed themselves. But, but, this is what I can't do...... have the curved wall on a tangent to a wall looking "clean".
