I am confused. Didn't we just figure out how to do what the OP wants. Is there a configuration that we can't do with a minimum amount of work? If I am not mistaken we can do just about any config........ here is one for you, 4 sinks in one cabinet. No special holes in countertops, (4-8' long cabinets superimposed on eac h other, each of the four cabinets with it's own sink. I think we can put this thread to bed.

LOL, okay, it's nice to see that you have a sense of humor, but you didn't have to go to all that trouble. Nice render except for the ugly mug in the mirror. But, the plan was not attached, but I see the pic, I don't think we are reinventing the wheel, the purpose here was for the sinks to straddle the cabs, I think there is another thread going on that is addressing what the real issue is. What you have shown is a no brainer, we do it all the time. Aha, now I understand the reason for blocking, I did not realize that, I have never used cabinet schedules, but that is good to know, thanks. Randy, are you saying that you can see what I see, IOW, you can see the video in CT and you can play it straight from CT without going to the youtube site? If that is so, you see what I see but Larry and Mike cannot see it. Is this so?

Pet Peeve #1: We went thru BETA, and I could almost swear if I opened a dvx for door or a window, the width would auto highlight. I loved this. If I open a window or a door dvx, 95% of time I am changing the width, the auto highlight saves a step, please rectify this. Pet Peeve #2: I open up text block, the text should be auto highlighted. If I open a text block, it is probably because I am going to change the text, lets auto highlight the text so I can start typing, a no brainer. But I will say, I know for a fact that sometimes when I select a text block and open dvx, the text is auto highlighted. Why is it that sometimes it is auto highlighted and other times I have to highlight the text myself. Pet Peeve #3: If they say the greens are running at a 10 on the stamp meter, why are they really running like an 8. Golf is hard enough without the greens keeper lying to us about the speed of the greens. Played golf yesterday, I had a good day, JC wasn't there, but I think I have to play golf with him next Thursday, maybe I will come down with the flu, I can only hope.

I think you were on the right track Dennis, but I don't like turning cabinets into symbols. I like to keep them "live". But no matter, it appears there are multiple solutions to the OP's question.

Suppose you want two sinks in one cabinet, i.e. one false panel? Build 72" long cabinet, put in sink, move sink to the left, copy cabinet in place, select second sink and move to the right. The problem is you now have a countertop penetrating one of the sinks, so select one of the cabinets, give it a custom countertop and then delete that countertop, so now you are left with two cabinets superimposed on each other, only one COUNTERTOP, and two sinks. Hmmmm, I assume the OOB setting is unchecked, if that is the case..... yeah..... now that you mention this, I have not noticed this frustration, thanks. If you ask me, it should always be unchecked, not sure why anybody would want this checked, I will monitor now that I know this.

In this pic, the sill and stud blocking are same color, rafters are another, if I had trusses I believe they may be another color, I have different colors for new and exiting studs, ceiling joists are another color and floor joists are another, I think that is 7 different colors, I think I outlined it all in the video. I am showing existing studs in this pic, if I had new walls, they would be another color.

Yeah, I'm listening, the video showed you how to do it. I saw someone else do this about 6 years ago, it's a great way to help understand the framing overview. I changed the materials in the BUILD FRAMING>MATERIALS DBX

Thanks Doug, never messed with it before, OOB is 4, no complaints on the OOB, I just bumped it up to 6 to see if I like it better. Does any body know what the BUMPING/PUSHING FOR TYPE I MOVEMENT is about? I just noticed this, I believe this is new, anybody know?

Hi DG, yes, now I understand, sounds like a lot of work since i believe you will not only have a sink to deal with but also the hole for the sink. So if you wanted to move it, would would need not only the hole but the sink. However the method that I eventually came to grips with was not much better. Your method may be better..... but maybe not, won't you have one of the lower cabinets going through the sink.... you don't show the sink in place..... I think you will find that a cabinet will penetrate the sink......

I think OLDCKD has the answer, I am waiting for her solution.
