Why Are The Walls And Floors Going Through The Siding?
dshall replied to pacificstart's topic in General Q & A
Did not look at plan, but you might be using a single layer wall....... Problem is with your wall definitions -
wait a minute...... this is interesting.... so what do you suggest? don't use legacy shadows? don't use legacy shadows because it slows down computer? if you don't use legacy shadows you get the spikes... ... so..... I want a fast comupter (don't use legacy shadows)....so I won't use legacy shadows, but if I don't use legacy shadows I get spikes..... not good. So how do I not use legacy shadows and avoid the spikes Thanks for the help Rashid, this could be some good info.

I guess using the ref sets did not work. -

JK, did you also Raytrace in CA and if so, would you post the CA Raytrace to compare? BTW, very very nicely done. I really like the background, I assume that was an actual picture that you put in the picture. Really nice.

WOW, when I was in Oz several years ago I thought it was closer to 1:1.

I just spoke to Nigel at tech support. He says you need to go to CA website, select a library, it downloads to download library, and then you need to select to install into your library. According to Nigel there is no quick, down and dirty way of doing this. It is a time intensive process... probably about an hour if I was to guess.

Test - I Am Having Trouble Responding To Posts
dshall replied to Dennis_Gavin's topic in General Q & A
I too have experienced this. Not a lot, several times several days ago, everything is okay for me now. -
I tried this on more than one occasion and it kept reverting to a thick wall. Apparently you were able to do it.

This was tricky. I cannot explain why. Twice it did not behave as expected. However here is a vid showing how I got it to work. https://youtu.be/8i4DsPz3jMM

I did a series of videos on ref sets, if interested, do a search for the MRLS, do a MRLS search, some videos might come up. They are probably 5 years old now, but they might give you some insight on how to use ref sets. And then you can always view CA's ref set videos. You are on the right track, the ref sets are so so very important and powerful, you must take some time to study them and think of how you can use them. They aren't perfect yet, CA did a huge improvement to them in X3, we are now lobbying CA to improve them by improving the MRLS to the MMRLS.......
