  1. Seems like maybe your Annotation Sets got deleted or corrupted. You could try Importing a copy from a Profile plan or actually any other plan file if you have customized things. File> Import> Import Annotation Sets... But you first have to Export from the good plan file. There is Plan Check but not sure how many NKBA items it checks. Tools> Checks....
  2. Not quite getting the whole picture but you can adjust the truss envelope in cross section and you can do almost whatever you need in custom framing in the truss detail if you unlock it. I assume you dragged in plan view. Hope that helps a bit.
  3. Click the grey Follow button at the top right and you will be notified by email. Or just leave the page open for a while as you might just get a quick response right away.
  4. You can always give tech support a call if you can't find anything obvious.
  5. Every thing appears to functioning fine for me. Have you tried rebooting your computer or dumping your temp files ? Not sure what to suggest unless there are more conditions you have not shared.
  6. Glenn, Thanks for that. I think Johnny will be quite happy to read that when he gets to work in the morning. I think the manual would be worth reading if it had stuff like that in it. Real bonus about the Auto Details. Thanks. Would have been great to have you at the Workshop.
  7. Yes that can be done if you like. The PDF can be imported directly into Chief and traced over but there are some quality and speed issues currently and that can be improved by converting the PDF to PNG format before importing. There is also software that will convert PDF to Cad ( DWG ) and that will give you some snap points to work with. http://visual-integrity.com/products/pdf2cad/
  8. I think you are looking for the craftsman style with 3 Lites Vertical which is also very common with 3 or more Lites Across.
  9. Here is the recorded Workshop Video : My apologies for messing up my own audio again but I was asking near the end of the video for some contact information from a previous workshop and I was able to get that and may have an update for you soon.
  10. Seems to work just fine with 19.3.1.8 Why don't you hook up with Rene on Team Viewer and show him what is going on in the real plan.
  11. Let me try the update and see if it still works after with your test plan.
  12. And I was just about to update to 19.3.1.8 maybe I should not. What version are you running? The two curved walls are ever so slightly out of alignment in your test plan but that did not seem to cause a major issue.
  13. Delete the window in the center above the middle one and select all the others and hit ctrl +c and go to level 2 and hit crtl +alt +v and everything should be fine. This can be done in 3D or plan view the same way. Sorry but I am not really sure how it got fowled up the first time but I hope that helps you out.
  14. Glenn, That is not anything that comes with a profile plan. Don't you have some custom units that you use for your material list ? Maybe one was selected accidentally for Dimensions.
  15. There are other things you can do for illustration purposes such as create a panoramic image of the lot and then use that as your background or overlay a high res satellite image or areal photo into your plot plan. If you have a flat lot you can actually apply that image to your terrain depending on the surrounding topography that can be quite effective. Endless possibilities... Some within Chief and some that require supporting software just depends on the situation and requirements / clients wishes and budget. Post and example and someone will try to guide you as to how it might be done.
  16. Dave did you take a look at this one: https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/15217-window-bumpout/#comment-128513 Also sometimes a wall that is giving issues needs to have it's default material re applied to look right or be repainted. Post your plan and Eric will find the solution for you if this does not help.
  17. They should load automatically into your bonus catalogs or manufacturing catalogs but you can also load them manually by going to Library> Import...... but that really should not be necessary so if you don't figure it out by Monday I would give tech a call.
  18. You can take a look through what is currently available here : https://3dlibrary.chiefarchitect.com/index.php?r=site/library&reset=true Also if you are a retailer you have other possibilities available to you of getting models from wholesalers and manufactures or even looking into scanning technology of items you have assembled in your showroom. Chief Architect can use imported files from Sketchup's 3D Warehouse and many other sources as well.
  19. Scott, I think I saw in your deck room DBX that you had both the ceiling and use soffit for ceiling selected. Try turning off the ceiling and it may resolve the soffit conflict in the corner. You may even have to delete the ceiling finish like you did for the deck.
  20. Ideally you should set this up in your Annotation sets but until you learn all that you can just got to Current CAD Layer and choose the layer you would like to be working in.
  21. Thanks Andy that should be quite useful.
  22. Interesting dilemma Richard, I was actually contemplating putting in a suggestion for printable Grid lines this week which would work for things like this. However you can lay one out fairly quickly with the multi copy tool and a couple of gray cad lines. I have been fooling around with 3D PDF recently and it has the option to measure within the 3D Model.
  23. Here is a great video by Michael the should help you out : If you find this helpful you may want to subscribe to his channel as he has built up a quit valuable library on advanced subjects not covered in chief training videos. As for your Baluster you might be better served by creating a millwork symbol that can be used in a railing.
  24. David, Does that annoying icon go away if you turn off "Behavior Inidicators" in Preferences> Behaviors> Edit Type ? And then just use F12 to update when you want to as Lew suggested. Then you still have the speed advantage with Auto Rebuild Off. As per Dermot's comments below I should have said that these are very advanced settings that should only be used carefully in extreme situations where you are forcing the software to do something it was not intended to do. And you should always remember to reset those settings when you are finished with them.
  25. It will be interesting if anyone else has seen this as it usually takes a very deliberate action to change a toolbar configuration. I will watch out for it when I update. Thanks.
