Open your wall definition and set brick ledge depth back to 0" and it looks much better.

Ok Thanks Joe, That took a bit to figure out but I got it, There is a check box in the Symbol DBX, Symbol Specifications>2D Block>"Use Original Plan Colors" down at the bottom that becomes available after you select "Fill". Or just realized the if the cad block has solid fill already you can edit the color with the fill options. Unfortunately this is not an option for electrical symbols, so maybe I am still not understanding how you did your electrical panel if you built it as an electrical symbol ? At least I now have a blue ADA toilet.
-
Joe, How did you make the XHatch? Totally confused now as I have never had fill retained with a 2D Cad block used for a symbol. Just tried it on a fixture and would not work unless you want to use the symbol solid fill but that is a rather limited use.
-
Not exactly sure what you did without the plan file but you could take a look at the default bottom height for the wall.
-
Likely a symbol is your only chance but that is what symbols are for... Custom stuff. Psolid for glass and solids for the frame or a molding polyline would do it all in one shot. On second thought it might not be any advantage to make a window symbol as it will create issues with the wall opening. I just made an architectural block that you can have and edit or check out to see how to make your own. I would try making the wall opening with two wall material regions or Joe's Hole in the wall tool and then just turn the framing off or custom frame. Chevron Window Block.calibz

Yes you can create a glass pony wall that should work fine there.

Try Edit>Preferences>Reset Options>Reset Toolbars to factory defaults.

Panorama background wiping out part of fence
Chopsaw replied to Christina_Girerd's topic in General Q & A
That is interesting as I believe the saved camera was dead center and set at 90° and your results are dramatically different which could possibly suggest a hardware issue. But where to start I have no idea. Maybe Brad will take a look. -
If you are requesting a change ie: gable to hip, then the roof needs to be rebuilt to display the change you have asked for. Welcome to the forum.
-
Do you have Auto Rebuild Roofs turned on ? Sounds like the only thing you missed.
-
The floor logo could be done with a psolid and logo applied as a material to it as stretch to fit. Banner could be done the same way or even a wall covering depending on what you have as a source material.

That is a great video but I would not consider it a 3D architectural walkthrough. What are your expectations and do you have the advertising budget that Apple has ? What software do you have currently ? I could not find a sekisui walkthrough, do you have a direct link ?

Panorama background wiping out part of fence

Tried a new 1000' terrain perimeter and could not make it fail even with the camera in a corner. Give this a spin on your computer and see what happens. Pano Test.plan -
Panorama background wiping out part of fence

Interesting. It seems that distance is a factor but there is at least one other thing at play as well since I was getting results out to 1000' and sometimes beyond. Possibly the amount of information the camera sees in each capture. My default camera settings were "Incremental Move Distance" : 12" , "Incremental Rotate Angle" : 1.0° , "Clip Surfaces Within" : 6" , "Remove Wall Within" : 12" , "Field of View" : 45.0°. -
Panorama background wiping out part of fence
Chopsaw replied to Christina_Girerd's topic in General Q & A
Chief has a way of not always telling us all the rules and I thought there may possibly be a limitation in distance so I set up a test terrain with a fence and ran a few tests and was able to get a failure similar to yours at a distance of over 1000' from the camera so I moved the camera further away and got a more significant failure and then changed the focal point of the camera and it worked fine but then when I changed the focal point back it still worked fine. So no repeatable failures yet. More testing required...... Did you try replacing the camera? -
Guys, Did you all open in X8 and not see the issue. What are Justin and I doing differently.
-
Justin, The little roof plane beside the entrance that joins into the garage roof is not joined to the main roof. Connect them and the extra boxed eaves go away. Skype me if that does not make sense.
-
Thanks Robert, I thought I remembered someone else having issues but could not find it on the forum. I will read through that and give Chief a call to see it they are making any progress on the fix. Michael, I am not switching defaults to make this happen. It is set to 6" and as I am working on other things it randomly displays as about 6' text size and then goes away next time the screen is refreshed.

Is anyone else seeing this in X9 when closing a DBX.

Nice work Richard. Character Size Text , Callouts , Markers , Schedules , and dimension numbers can be sized to 1/128” accuracy (0.078125 mn). See Text Style Panel. These objects use CAD Style Font Sizing, which specifies text size as the measurement from the baseline to the topmost part of the capital letter A, as in most CAD programs. Rich Text objects have two font sizing methods to choose from: CAD Style Font Sizing and a method similar to most word processing applications, where size is based on information stored in the font. See Options Panel.

Very Nice Michael. Maybe not false advertising just some rather advanced moves required.

There are some invisible walls the they have used but the one you pointed out is likely all modeled manually with wall material regions and psolids etc. If there is another way I would love to know. Maybe it can be done in Home Designer ? Eric ?

I just left it as a deck but if you want to pour some cement that might be better for that location. I just selected the default ceiling but you can change the material if you like. Just hit the edit button for (J):
