  1. I just titled mine as "Layout line Update Issues" but if you want to link it with mine you can just give them the ticket # 72574 I think they were able to reproduce from the last of many plan files I sent in but it helps to prioritize the fix if they know it is effecting others. You actually made quick work of finding Perry's favorite workaround which seems to be the only consistent way to refresh. Just to confirm, is that a live view or layout lines with fill ?
  2. Yes I do too, and it seemed to work last time. @Adrean Have we provided enough information for you to reproduce this or would you like a defective plan file ?
  3. So the framing was showing beyond camera clip but still in the layout box. You may have hit on a variation of a bug chief has been trying to resolve. Yes I was able to duplicate your situation quite quickly and I will send in my plan file. If you could do the same it might help clean up X11.
  4. I assume you did rotate and check the other two sides ? They both use the same default "Aluminum Brushed" although yours has a bump map assigned to it which I do not have in my database so that should not effect how it renders on my machine in comparison to the one I am using. This one may be for Adrean unless you have more ideas.
  5. All four of the Surface Mounted Tube Lights in Standard View or Vector although vector is easier to see. Side and end panels are missing all the same on each light except the "Long" which is the opposite side and end of the others.
  6. Ok will try that out as it would possibly be a newer generation of template than the stock X10 templates. Wow this is getting really weird. Gave it a test run in Dermot's no-lines template and it displays in camera view fine like yours however it is still missing the two side panel surfaces in the library browser preview. Can you confirm that Mick ? I wonder what template Adrean is using. X11 possibly.
  7. Definitely not Clipping as you can see the missing surfaces at about 20' away if the angle is correct even with clipping set to 2". However your test plan is ok on my system using all the same camera settings. I think that eliminates the video driver...... I trust that Graham knows how to do a library update and Adrean would likely remember fixing that issue if it happened recently.. Also just tried dropping in a light from my library into your plan file and it works so I will test in another plan and see if it is my template somehow. Strangest thing ever. It works in a Metric plan template and not an Imperial plan template for me and this even dictates how the light displays in the library browser preview. So what template did you do your test plan in Mick ? Totally confused at this point. If it is something to do with measurement unit conversion within the library that would be quite the glitch.
  8. Currently testing 398.36 but it does not work with Adobe Reader and may try one more new one before rolling back to 378.92 and making another Tech Support request at Nvidia.
  9. Turn on "Automatically Regenerate Deck Framing" in the Deck Room DBX and then you may need to do some manual framing just the way your carpenter would but much easier and faster on the computer than in real life. And no YELLING Please. You can even make the tree hole round if you like so people don't fall in. I have done them with framing that can be progressively trimmed and removed as the tree matures to it's anticipated size.
  10. Sorry I din not see it posted at first but yes you have shadows in fact the short light seems to produce two of them.
  11. I can't seem to reproduce the shadow issue but I also don't have room definition in my current plan so maybe it is produced by the area light in the room. Set at 1200 Lumens of Point Light in Standard and PBR Views. Strange indeed.
  12. Any Luck with the update Graham ? Thanks for taking a look for me. I will send this in when I get a moment. Can never really figure out how things like this make it through quality control.
  13. Yes that is the correct one Mick. Still looking into your extra issue.... Hang on a moment.
  14. If you are using X10 you will need to set a backdrop in Default Settings for your Full Camera which the walk through recorder uses.
  15. Has there been an update that I missed or is this series of Core Catalog fixtures missing half of their side panels ?
  16. Thanks. I learned it from @Alaskan_Son "The Master" Not quite as easy as sketchUp but nice to know it can be done in chief when necessary.
  17. Does that fix the problem or just explain it ? Sorry not a SketchUp user. Here is an edited Chief switch. Decora Brass Switch.calibz
  18. Is it a detached garage on the same floorplan ? Send the same view to layout twice and crop appropriately.
  19. Wow !! That must have been the last thing you would have thought it was. Glad you found it though.
  20. I see that there is a somewhat randomized panel grouping pattern in the example. Is this consistent ? as it would take a little more precision to set that up. However if it is consistent then maybe you could keep a template and just delete the tiles in the areas they are not wanted for each custom job.
  21. Damien, I was able to get some of the textures you posted to link with the .dae file but did not seem to carry through with the conversion to the .fbx file. The file does not seem to behave properly as I am used to seeing. Everything is recognizable but a lot of off white surfaces that I assume are materials that are not linked properly. If you like I could pull your X8 file through into X10 and possibly be able to diagnose a little better that way. Give the link that Mick posted a try and see it that works first.
  22. Yeah. Big Issue that Chief does not seem to understand. Railings presently move with the wall so depending on the situation you could possibly move the wall or add a layer to the wall definition to relocate the center of the wall. This will also affect the columns.
  23. Damien, I seem to be able to produce a .FBX file of the same quality as the .DAE you have in your Dropbox however there are no textures so it is difficult to tell the exact quality of the file. Could you post the textures file here or upload to Dropbox. Also some screen shots or renderings from Chief for reference would be quite helpful as there seem to be a lot going on in that huge file.
  24. Not possible yet, however it has been requested so keep your fingers crossed for the X11 release.
