Try winders by enclosing the stair with an invisible room. Not perfect, but it works well on angles that are not extremely acute. Got this result. Hope that helps with your scenario

windows with curtains using windows treatment in the windows dbx is possible. you can resize with windows in window dbx, can extend top, bottom and sides of window. This is all doable in the windows treatment panel of windows dbx. Once you set up your desired look you are able to copy and paste any were in plan, though the initial set up of the window could be tricky, point is that you need to create a milwork symbol that fits the desired position by tweaking the symbol orrigion in symbol dbx. Advantageous also, since it automatically fits on curved walls easily. Here is the test plan including the .calibz symbol. Curtains extinding sides of windows and flexible height.plan windows and curtains with flexible dimensions..calibz

This is very interesting one. Thanks for sharing Johnny.

Hey Ridge Actually forgot the original setting and started from scratch after you posted the question. Took the time time to post this. Minutes, but once you find the setting that works it must be very short time I hope. Here is the setting screen shpt.

Not perfect, but the look of the second image can also be close using tech illustration mode, here is my go with little atweeking of cool and warm blends .

You can create some thing close to that using water colour Mode. But a full functionality like those would be great.

Are you kidding sir? You are saying "one by one" as we used to do in the old days When there wasn't a blessed one click layout updating button. believe me, if you are still in the process of opening elevation/section in layout and just again spend ...Micro..../seconds waiting for plot line generation etc. I don't believe you, but if that is the way you go with it, then you are missing the very pleasing intelligent tool that was provided on X8! Just click on it and everything is up to date and in confimance with all the progress you made on the current plan. Or am I missing some thing or ... How would you know that you have finally opened your camera and didn't update plan view after closing it? Why worry trying to remember whether you are updated or not. We usually work on plan view and on the second window by watching the perspective/orthographic view. What ever it is easy for you, is great, but it is worth remembering why this tool was priorized? As far as I can tell, it was simply not to bother about your layout update status, once you are set up. Just a one click and done. I think it is great improvement.

Hey johnny I agree when I simply apply contextually to my wishes with this regard, but your suggestion isn't so clear to some one else trying to help or complement the suggesion. "Automatic features" is just a general term and I would rther need to know those features that are exactly messing up your work flow, so we can agree if we are facing similar issues or some one else would disagree and prove ..may be they ate one of the poisons he likes using chief. AntY way try to put it a bit clearer and specifics.

Turning the models to a symbol and droping it on your site plan will significantly speedup. Though you can improve it some more by turning some layers off before converting it to symbol depending on the level of detail you want on your site plan. I usually turn furniture layer off for attaining a workable site plan model.

Very Nice Indeed! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Michael Very well explained.

Yes Chopsaw, Chop directed you to the video. But I think Michael has also simplified this method significantly by using the symbol as window without going through all this steps I gone through. I don't know why I went through those extra steps. May be I was missing some thing, but I have done that for some reason, though I can't tell now. Hey Michael, is this an x9 only capability or I was missing it on x8? I am not around PC now, but I have to look back why I done that unnecessary steps in x8, or may be Michael will clear that for me before I go to PC. Thanks

I am with Michael here, if you once detach the freeze board manually as Michael has shown, then you don't need the auto generated one, so you should select roof planes and in their dbxs you are able to remove the auto generated freeze boards for good.

Chop Is that the export window of an other programe that contains the symbols? I mean the screen shot you posted above. If so, then you have a 2d DXF and DXF only formats, and I think the later can be imported in to chief as a 3d object. Not sure I understand your question though.

yusuf-333 replied to ladycoralie's topic in General Q & A

I was buzzy sure and the thread is buried and I was checking the forum some times in the last week but no luck to see your final response. sorry again. I will come back to this later on and see what I can do with this one. It would be nice also, if you give some more explanation. Best wishes And thanks for The Kind Words. -
How do you remove centre of curved stairs?
yusuf-333 replied to ladycoralie's topic in General Q & A
Hey Lady, didn't I help you on this in an other thread few weeks ago? What is this that you want? is English your 99th language like it is for me?... I don't think so, but what do you need here, do you mean a curved stair to the second floor only, with no access to the middle floor? Do you need to keep dragging and wrapping a single stair to 360° and more up to 720° and all the way open down under your circular stair way, or even go up to the roof top of T.Tower?. Of course there is a way to go with it, which ever of the above scenarios you may want to achieve. BTW, did I ever disappoint you? I think you owe me a little thanks, but there are lots of people that are always grateful to the craps we share here, so no worries! Not giving you a negative point for now. -
Line weights are layer set or object dependent, there fore I think you are missing the option of being layerset dependent which determines the use of different line weights for different views of differing layersets. So if you are viewing "section set" for both plan and elevation views, then that is the only case where objects(walls, windows ...what ever) will show the same line weights! Otherwise you can set different line weights for each view in the layer set settings. Located at the bottom were you can change line weights, colour and even line types for each view independently.

Hey lady Here is a video that will guide you to how exactly to align the stair with the curved wall. Fortunately the video also clarifies the errors you may encounter during the process by default https://youtu.be/0-_PwHxw5s8

Lady corralie Hope this is what you wanted. If you have any difficulty, let me know. New French Country 1.plan

The Idea of using middle stairs work well, but some components like stringers at wall and railings seems to have issues. Again I remember an earlier thread I posted that worked well using two landings, the only thing you need to do is set the auto landing height "off" for the second landing and fill it manually. U stair with with tri stairs.plan

I am thinking that the left one is your original symbol, and I can see that is exactly the apeareance I was getting. The right one must be a newly modeled one!
