  1. Johhny, I have imported from scratch and it shows two of the verticals are distorted and a kind of bleeding gaps are happening for some reason. If you have checked the sketch up file, then obviously there is some thing wrong when it gets in to chief's environment. Though I can't tell exactly why.
  2. And if you are thinking to pick one or two issues that all of the above options can't solve. Don't forget that there is no perfect CAD Software, even if it is chief!!! Chief do in a speed of light compared to others, when it comes to 99% of the normal construction in USA, may be 90-95% in the rest of the world. And of course, I can say it is less than one in a thousand that mostly deal with odds. Note:- Some of you may ask me about the source of the figures in percentages above, it is just my bare judgement and I can be wrong..
  3. Sure you got it, keep up the good work sir. Thanks
  4. Hi, I got rid of the last red flag from your post, ........Lol... Humor is the best..take care.
  5. It would be great that chief's solid modeling capability got improved. But I am sure you can do a lot when you get adapted to how chief do what it can do. Here is the plan if any one wants to play with it. Also similar topic in the past had some interesting flower house Plans, Here is the link to that topic https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/6186-roofs-and-shapes-a-short-video/?do=findComment&comment=54606 This short video and The test plans are posted in the above loink. hope that helps too paraboloid 1.plan
  6. I have one similar to one of the pictures in your link, but not sure exactly it is what you need. Let me know
  7. Well thanks, but I am not sure I am getting that geometry right, may be just I will try that one later. Any help you need with those odd geometries Ate welcome.
  8. My go with chiefs roofs, am I missing some thing? Let me now please
  9. A long time ago I have created this video tutorial on how to create barrel roof. Hope this will help you. If you have troubles understanding this, let me know.
  10. Take a picture of the material any were you may have seen it applied, and import it as a material library so you can apply it on your generic wall.
  11. Very nice job! Thanks for sharing.
  12. Great suggestion for the OP, please follow chop's advise. some times it is very important to explain what some one ultimately wants to achieve, rather than simply asking a minor or step to reach there. This kind of question like "join two or more lines" and without further explanation of where you want to use it, can lead to a kind of confusion or may be missing a valuable adVises one would get to achieve the main target of the Op.
  13. Here is a video showing one great concept regarding the potential of chiefarchitect, i.e to be able to reshape the straight panel to a desired curvature and at the same time make it follow stairs, This method simply combines the tools we are already provided by CA. Curving the straight panel by using Window Treatment Tool and then apply it on curved stairs to automaticaly get curved panel railings, this method has a lot of benefits. There are a lot of situations that you can adapt a programmed workflows to solve difficult problems. This video explains how to....
  14. Sure, I do a lot of fancy stairs using CA and I will keep sharing those techniques along the way, but if you are referring to a specific one, let me know please. I don't mind sharing what I know when some one requests me about it. You are always welcome, if there is any thing I can help.
  15. Nice Michael, this is applying the same concept and the program treats any object as straight box once you convert it to millwork, so when you convert the straight truss to millwork and again apply it as a window treatment, it follows the curvature of the wall containing the window resulting very great symbols as you have shown us. Really nice idea you have brought Michael. Thanks again for the tips.
  16. Of course yes, it has a lot of benefits as some needs. generally, reshaping any thing to a desired curvature is handy by using this method. Thanks again for the ensight Michael.
  17. This method solves WI railing in general, if you have the straight panel symbol it makes easy to get curved panel railing on curved balconies, like the one attached.
  18. Here is a video showing the one great concept regarding the potential of chiefarchitect to be able to curve the straight panel and at the same time follow stairs, Mind you it is easy, but took me very very long time to unviel it. This method simply combines the tools we are already provided by CA. Curving the straight panel by using WT tool and then apply it on curved stairs to automaticaly get curved panel railings...
  19. You never had a friend like me! Do you? I have said it here and 1000times in this forum for many Years.... And Deaf ears. This time you and Scott Harris will pay for it. I am not joking, nor am I going to teach ya for free this time!! Teach what? Your codes!! To make what? The capability of curving straight panels and at the same time sloping and follow stairs!! will you pay for this? Well If you can't pay. Then go figure. Initially I was just giving pointers. I didn't want to confront, but you programmers undermine users. See..ha..ha. You guys at chief got in to the trap this time, though I didn't intend to confront, but again I know without confrontation you are not probably welcoming user suggestions. Thanks in advance.
  20. Oh...ok.. got it, thanks for the quick response.
