  1. thank you I'll give it a try. Interestingly, there is a single story garage (first floor). I tried the freize boards on that building and they took immediatly.
  2. Yes, sorry its version 6
  3. Within the attached plan, second story I have placed a gable roof over the entry section. I am attempting to add a freaze board under the eves/gables. I am selecting from the Chief exterior options/freize boards but have been unsuccessful in getting them to show up in the 3d perspective overview view? Any suggestions? Casa Maravilla AAAA Roof.plan
  4. That would seem to do the trick. I have been clicking the same eve and gable option but not getting results?
  5. Working in Chief Version 6 looking at elevations in full perspective overview Attempting to add freize boards under the overhang. I am able to wrap the bell tower with the selectd freize board design from the library. I am also able to have the detailed face on the exterior as needed by clicking on Extrude Inside Polyline in the Moulding Polyline Specifications. The Freize works well when drawn up beneath the overhang of a hip roof. However, with a gable roof I am unable to have the freize board follow the rake of the overhang of a gable roof? any suggestions? .
  6. I am working in Chief Version 6. I am adding freize boards below the gabled and eaves of the roof plan. When I look at the 3d prospective overview the moulding selected has been added, however, the detailed fave of the moulding is facing inward. How can I flip the moulding so the detailed face is seen in the elevatiuon?
  7. Hello Colleagues, A dumb question but it must be asked. Working in Version 6, I use the dimension tool to snug my cabinets or a moulding to a wall. By example, as I walk the cabinet close it may show a 5/16" gap between the cabinet and wall. I click on the dimension and replace the 5/16" dimension with "0" and the cabinet snaps perfectly into place. At this juncture I have lost the dimensioning option. There are none. I attempt to walk the cabinet or moulding into place but can only get close, not snapped into position. Any ideas? Scott
  8. To Glenn, Thank you!! That did it, you saved the day. I truly appreciate you taking the time to help.
  9. See the picture below from the layers section of Chief Talk. I have imported a png into the plan but cannot set the height above ground so the trees show over the fences and walls as in this plan. I did not bring the images in through the library as that did not allow the actual aerial view of the tree to show, just a drawing. I did the importing through File>Import>Picture.png Now when I try to open the image I can set the diameter but not the height above ground. Please help.
  10. Working on an apartment complex. Multiple 6-plex buildings. The original 6-plex was drawn in detail, then cut/past into site plan. The site plan is now large (1"=100') and the program speed has dropped of dramatically? Any ideas?
  11. We have been able to import transparent images. Now, how do we set so that the trees are shown hanging over side walks or floor plan below? When I open the image there is no option to set height above ground, I can only adjust tree diameter.
  12. The image is a jpg. I will try converting it to a png. I would prefer to have the image not a line drawing, I would like the actual aerial image to be visible in the plan. Drawing my own may be the route to go. I will try these options. Thank you.
  13. I am working in a massive drawing with many buildings. I have accidentally hit the Automatic Exterior dimention Key which dimentioned each building. Is there a way to "back out" of this in lieu manually removing the dimentions from every building?

  15. I uploaded this overhead view of a tree into my library. I would like to put it in my plan, (not the 3D version) just the blue print plan version. It will not insert as this image, Chief Architect takes the image and uses their own little tree drawing in the plan. The image does show up in 3D but I want it in the plan version as shown below, except to scale of course. Help please..
