Nice video and very informative.

You can export/import libraries but if you do them all at once it becomes a huge file and takes quite a while to create.

I think he (solver) means the computer file (.pln) not a floor plan view. Looks like you have a baseline way off from a wall, that might be where the light is coming from

Glass shower door in glass wall above curb and pony wall

Nice job Steve, I always learn something from your videos. -
BTW they are commonly called Keynotes.
-
That would be a nice feature for me as well.

You can turn off the layers that you dont need while you are doing your roof.
-
The angle of the valley is determined the slopes of the 2 roofs, it will be 45 degrees if the slopes are the same, otherwise it will be different
-
You cant dictate the angle and the roof slopes, it would be one or the other

Those look good, what do you mean a "whitening filter""?

I dont see the issue your speaking about on the elevations, it looks to be a reasonably complete model, although probably does need some work to make it a set of appropriate construction documents. Like Joey said, really depends on where you are building and what they will require.

Might help to post where you are located.

This has been a useful post. I think I figured out my problem, under Preferences : Appreance : Color Off has to be set to Grayscale.

Thats the look I am trying to get Joey, I can't seem to figure out how to get the patterns to show as a light gray.

I'm having a hard time getting the exterior surfaces to print in a lighter shade, I have messed around with various settings, but I'm not seeing a change, can someone point me in the right direction? Attached is a pdf of the output. I'd like the brick to be several shades lighter (for example), how do I do that? TIA rk.pdf

I think in the definitions section (of the building code) it describes where the calculation occurs. On a related note: it would be nice if there was some graphical way that CA showed the area that it is calculating. - and maybe there is, I'm a new user, so its possible I just haven't found it yet.

Hey Steven, The forum is a great resource, I have learned a lot just from reading posts from others in here. I am also in Marietta, holler if I can help. Nice fish BTW Rob

Strange artifacts even though walls look aligned
Rpadge replied to rockyshepheard's topic in General Q & A
I think when you put a roof on those bumpouts the "artifacts" will disappear -
That would be a nice feature to have.

Garage doors always shows edge of garage floor
Rpadge replied to rockyshepheard's topic in General Q & A
I think if you define that room as a garage, you wont have a wood floor and it will display properly
